Hi. Just wanted to stop in and let y'all know I will be taking an interest in UT athletics as I will be moving to Knoxville to take a position. Let me know if y'all can think of anything in particular I should know about the city, please. Cheers.

If you are not an athlete the cops shouldn't be bad for you.

The downtown area (market square) is really sweet if you're looking for something to do

You should look at property near Lakemoor Hills if you want to live close to work and not in the "city".

I will give you my weed dealer's number if you need it, I know transitions can be tough.

The Mouse's Ear is the premier brunch spot in town.

The Katch is pretty good too. Since they specialize in seafood, it can smell pretty fishy in there sometimes.

Welcome brother! Hope you enjoy the outdoors. You're entering one of the most scenic regions east of the MS River and an outdoorsmans paradise.

Really fell in love with the area when I interviewed. Can't wait to spend what free time I will have enjoying the scenery and opportunities

Not quite, but close.

I'm deleting some things just because that may be a little too much information for this place

I didn't see it, bro. I don't blame you though I'd be interested in hearing your story. Is this a residency sort of thing? I assume not since you said you aren't a doctor yet.

Forgive my ignorance, I know dick about how medical shite works.

Hard to answer without giving too much info. It's not that I don't trust y'all, but anyone can see this forum

Anyway, physicians and other professions graduate with their degree and then complete a residency (depending on what direction they want to go in).

If you or someone you know is planning on something medical related, let me know and I'll set up a TD email to answer any questions

No bigs, I don't blame you for not putting out too much info.

Whether it's fellowship or residency or whatever, good luck. I think you'll find Knoxville to be a laid back town and UTMC to be a pretty good teaching hospital.

If I do anything medically related, it will be more in the Kevorkian type concentration.

Welcome! I moved here from Texas back in 2006. Haven't looked back since.

Hey, when Tennessee starts the meteoric rise we can all say it was you the lead us there.
