What do you think your record will be?

Not Serrenaux but I say 10-2 with a chance at 9-3 or 11-1. The key is the Florida game. We win that I like our season outlook.

That's fair considering the schedule. Also, keeping that schedule in mind, how disappointing would a 9-3 season be? Or even 10-2 season? Let's say 10-2 doesn't get you to Atlanta this year.

9-3 would honestly be a let down. 10-2 with no ATL birth would be very bittersweet. Especially if we lose to Florida and Alabama and lose out on a tie break or something like that. The East is ripe for the taking this year and the expectation is we take advantage of that.

That's fair.

It's astonishing how bad the East has been. I don't agree with it being down 2011-2013, but last year was the worst I've ever seen it I think.

Whoever makes it this year, unless it's Florida, I'm rooting for them to overthrow the West. I say Florida because frick Florida they win everything

It's unfair that they never seem to have to rebuild. If we lose to them again in Knoxville I'll probably swan dive off the top of Neyland Stadium

The past few years the East has had a knack for sending the wrong team to Atlanta while the team that should've gone sat home. I don't know why but something always seemed to derail the better team -- they'd lose a critical game that would take them out of it or injuries would derail them. Last season was probably the best example of it. We were the only team in the East worth a damn by season's end yet we sat home while a terrible Florida team went. Same thing in prior years too although with different teams.

I don't like that pattern and hopefully Tennessee can avoid that and be both the better team and the one that goes to ATL but in college football games anything can happen and the better team doesn't always win.

And yes, frick Florida. They have the luck of Auburn combined with the easiest/most plentiful recruiting ground for all SEC sports due to their massive population.

Our season boils down to the 4 game stretch of UF,UGA,A&M,Bama, IMO. We need to grab at least 2 of those and go 10-2 or better with this roster and having Shoop come in to replace Jancek. I think we have a great shot and probably should make it to Atlanta this year.

I honestly feel like that if we beat Florida then the rest takes care of itself. I just don't think we'll be denied if we can put Florida away.

Agreed, Tennessee was the better team the last two years but that mental hurdle of playing not to lose to Florida again is a killer.
