Making this Barnes hire look even better IMO.

I'm shocked he didn't take the 87 million over 4 years and start a new era down in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama just isn't that good of a basketball job (compared to other schools in conference)...akin to football coach at Kentucky. Even if they would've hired Marshall, it isn't a scary hire to me. They will continue to be mediocre.

It was mostly tongue in cheek, but I'm glad they weren't able to grab him when it was all said and done.

It was nice to have our process be wrapped up with a bow in 4 days. Then to see Alabama's become drawn out and everyone get their hopes up on this guy and bringing Bama basketball back. Only to get publicly embarrassed by a mid major in southern Kansas.

The smartest thing Hart did was reach out to Barnes 2 weeks before he heard from the NCAA.

Having this wrapped up quickly allows Barnes some time to work his magic on the recruiting trail.

I said two weeks ago that Marshall would be crazy to leave Wichita for Alafrickingbama when he's the hottest name in CBB.

I would bet he's waiting on one of the blue blood jobs to open up or maybe a place like Syracuse when Boeheim retires in a couple of years.

Agreed. Bama isn't an attractive job except for the money. Even with our bullshite recently, I still think we are a much better bball job than them.

Absolutely. Any day we can lol at Bama is a good day. Our double agent is doing work. It's about fricking time we had a mole working for us.

throwing $4 million per year on a college basketball coach is retarded imo. I don't think Bama fans care about basketball, or at least most of them don't.

That's what I was telling InVol. The only way UA was going to get a basketball coach was to entice him with a dump truck full of football money and try to make him forget they'll be living in Tuscaloosa. Personally, I'd take the job at UK, UF, Arky, UT, VU, LSU and Mizz before I went to Alababa.

God I hope they get Pitino Jr. The melt will be legendary

Yeah, that's stupid money. It looks like Prohm from Murray St. (fan base has mixed feelings) or Pitino Jr. (Fan base collectively doesn't like) are the front runners

Talk about a long fall from plan A
