I really thought I would be over this loss by now but damn. What a missed opportunity. I don't think the feels would be nearly as bad if we hadn't turned the ball over 7 times with a ragtag crew out there for most of the second half.

Then we've got Alabama rolling into town and I'm sure injuries are going to be a major problem with our depth Saturday. I just cannot stop thinking about if VOLS had been able to pull that W out and we would basically be playing with house money the rest of the way.

I am. Losses like this hurt a lot more than they did a few years ago, because you know we're a good team now. And if we had won, we'd be a legit playoff contender. Now we have to face the best team in college football with half our defense out.

It sucks.

Well said. I had forgotten how bad it feels to lose a game when VOLS are a great team, but it came back to me quickly.

Tennessee would be set up so well right now if we could've pulled that out. Lose to Bama, fine whatever. Run the table the rest of the way, get healthy and go to Atlanta with a chance to make the playoffs.

Now we have pull off the most improbable win in decades with a hobbled team just to keep our slim hopes alive :(

A win last week would have cemented this season as a great one, regardless of the Bama game. East would have been clinched, shot at the playoffs, etc. Now we have to win the Bama game with a hobbled defense... hard enough to beat them healthy. I am optimistic about this week though. Somehow win, finish out the season with wins, and get healthy for tSECCG and who the hell knows.

I really hope we somehow draw A&M again in the SEC championship matchup.

On an unrelated note, I don't see a dropoff in the future. Tennessee will be good for awhile, under the current regime. Love that we have put those Dooley days behind us.

i am... BUT, have to be thankful. We are fortunate to win fla and georgia game (especially uga). We have been down many years now, im not going to let a loss now bother me that bad when we have chance at a 10-11 win season. I have learned to enjoy the wins we do get, and not say "what if".

I am. Even with the injuries I think we are the better team. To hand them the game like that is hard to swallow. Especially with the effort our guys showed.

Yeah it is like when Cam Newton, JRM and Kirkland all got hurt. You can't possibly feel good about it anyway having lost with 2 or 3 more guys out just makes it 10 times worse.

I have snapped and cleared. You can't expect to beat many teams with 7 turnovers and it's even harder to beat a good team. Turnovers, penalties, etc. are all a part of the game. This team, while good, is pretty undisciplined which is weird considering the last couple of years.

I get what you're saying, VOLS squandered an opportunity, but I bet UGA feels the same way. These guys couldn't stand prosperity and were really only doing enough to win, now maybe they'll see that will get you beat.

To be honest, I snap and cleared as well. Obviously you'd prefer the win but with our injuries/turnovers this game has to make you feel good not only about the rest of this season, but about the next couple of years. All of the guy's who've had to step up have done reasonably well and it looks like we have some great playmakers for the next couple of years (Byrd, Jennings, Kelly, etc..). I think this game (hopefully) got the players back down to earth knowing we're not invincible and I really think recruiting is going to be insane after this year.

If we can go low penalties and low turn overs, maybe we can keep Bammer in check and win.

That would be suh-weet!!!

I thought we were gonna roll in OT with the momentum AND their defense tired. We had the opportunity to deliver but A&M was clutch in the OT.

I'm upset at the missed opportunity, but going into the game I though we would probably lose. Injuries you can't prepare for but turning the ball over like that makes me mad,

Same. In hindsight, I would've fed #6 until they stopped him.

I saw this earlier, nice view of the interception Dobbs threw in OT. Wolf ran the wrong route and was supposed to cut inside

That is on Dobbs. Looked like a predetermined throw. No way a senior qb should have throw that ball. Dobbs played a pretty bad game, unfortunately. Hoping he can rebound against Bama.

Yeah it was a poor decision on his part too. Even if Wolf cuts inside, the safety would've probably blown him up. I don't know why we were even passing there in the first place.

I'm okay with passing it there, Dobbs made a bad decision, but hindsight is a bitch here. They had no answer for our running game. Kamara was more likely to get a td than get stopped at the los. Oh, well.

Pretty excited to see Kamara as the featured back. Hurd has been great but Kamara looked like a Heisman finalist.

Daneielson kept saying the whole game, "Why don't they go down the field?" But Tennessee never threw a real deep ball I don't think.

Was it not a timing route? Wolf was supposed to cut in and the ball be right there.

Three defenders are in the immediate vicinity and he stared down Wolf the whole time. You have to be safe with the ball, a TO in overtime is basically a loss.

Speaking of Wolf. I swear he has regressed this year. I could be wrong, but I thought years prior he was sure handed and all around reliable.
