If you are bringing my recent post history into question then you shall note that most of my distaste is directed towards Auburn, not LSU. They are nowhere near being relevant in Landon Collins recruitment, which seems to be your point of discontent.

There isn't any back counting. 25 is the limit, it's part of the new scholarship rule.

There is still backcounting. It's the same reason people were getting around the 28 rule. If guys enroll early, they don't have to count towards the 2012 class. Nothing the SEC can do about that.

The scholarship rule can't force anyone to apply scholarship to either 2011 or 2012. There's no need for a link. It's the same basic format that the SEC had with the 28 limit.

Bama isn't recruiting Autrey as a DL but as a JACK. Word on the street is he is heading to Tennessee.

Plenty of guys get looked at as a Jack LB, but he's not the body type that would stay there. Even as a JUCO prospect.

So is the whole Yeldon to Bama thing a flame? Because everything I have read is that he would be the last of our class to decommit. The only way I even see him thinking about another school is if Gus leaves at the end of the year.

Alabama has signed, on average, 27 people per class since Saban got there. Miles needs to oversign a little more IMO (just to keep an even playing field). ESPN hates LSU though, and if Miles does, he'll get thrashed for it
Would it be wrong for programs like LSU and Alabama to openly admit that your scholarship is nothing more than an offer for a try-out? I mean, it's a one year renewal kind of deal.. but what's wrong with being open about it?
