When the rumor came out someone started a thread asking Yancy about. He said Shumpert wouldn't private commit to anyone and the it was hogwash. Doesn't sound like he is preparing anyone for anything.

That's great but I'm talking about Cox, you're right Shumpert isn't committed to anyone but I think we have a strong lead.

Personally I would bump RSJ to 3 and bump 2/3 up by 1.

RSJ is a stud but I want some studs on Defense more than WR right now.

I thought that whole discussion was about Cox?

Shump is a lean, but far from a lock... IMO

I had a feeling this would turn into a Egg Bowl thread.

Shump is more of a lock than Cox.

I would shite my pants, that kid has exploded this year. It is a crime if he doesn't get bumped to a 5 star after the clinic he has been putting on.

If we get RN, we get all the rest. if we dont get RN, we still get tony connor and have a good shot at Treadwell.

I am the only grinder that thinks there are about 5 or 6 more important recruits out there for us than Shump

He has played some really tough competition. I haven't been following their stats but he had 301 yards for 5 TD's and ~60 receiving yards Friday.

Yes.

Shumpert could be a prototypical SEC back or OLB. Phenomenal athlete. Must get.

Name the 5 or 6 you'd take before him.

Needs:
1) Cox
2) Dobbs
3) Rumph

The rest are "nice gets" but these are our remaining needs IMO. Dobbs just because Cord is so far from a sure thing with baseball(and we could take 2 in this class anyway given that we only have 2 scholarship qbs). Mississippi is loaded like 2009 at the QB position next year though...

We have 4 other ILBs in this class in Darian Claiborne, Ed Williams, Brett Wade, and Reggie Chevis.

I want Mitchell much more than Savaiinea at this point in time.
