What's the deal with DE Shavar Manuel?

He hasn't been mentioned with Alabama for a while, but his CB picks still come across on BOL.
In the past 24 hours he's had a CB put in for Florida, LSU and Auburn.
What's the story on this kid?

LSU could possibly land
Manuel, Gary, and Lawerence to go along with Alexander.
Could also land none of them. I like Coach O's chances with 2 of them though.

LSU lean at this point.

LSU-UF battle right now with LSU having a slight lead. I think people are assuming he's a lock their too soon though. Seems to be a lot of optimism on our end.

I don't see where Auburn is in it at all. We haven't been mentioned at all and all of the sudden we are supposedly in the top 2 or 3? I don't even remember hearing about him visiting. Same with Gary.
Oh well hopefully I'm wrong and we get both because God knows we need some DL but I just don't see either happening.

LSU feels very, VERY good about landing Shavar. He's trying to get back on campus with his aunt so she can see everything. After that I think he'll shut it down and commit to LSU.

Manuel has a good relationship with Boom and Byron Cowart. I think y'all are third by a good little bit behind LSU and UF.

If you talk to a lot of people who are in tight with LSU he committed to LSU on his visit a while ago (there were a ton of guys connected with the program going "BOOM" that day which means a commitment happened). I also think he pulled this on FSU before visiting us though so it's hard to ever get super excited about a "silent" commit.

Well there are certainly no guarantees but considering LSU's situation they have to feel pretty confident with some of these big time Dlinemen
