It would hurt, but I seriously doubt USC is going to offer Coach O. They had the chance and passed. At this point they won't offer out of pride.

Oh, and it's basically a top 5 job. They're loaded, great school, great tradition, badass operations facility, located in LA, etc. They will make a splash hire after the last two fails. Plus I think they're finally off scholarship restrictions.

He'd be a great hire for Miami.

I have no clue why ANY person would think the Miami job is a good one.

Yes, I understand the location and money might be great, but there is no way to revive that program, it's done. They are a penalty away from the death penalty. They have no loyal fan base. The college is small in comparison to all others in the state.

The list goes on and on, but Michael Ervin and company can speak all they want about "the U" but that exactly what the administration doesn't want.

Let's face it, it was a cheating mecca, that is gone now.

It's over. Taking that job is career suicide and would cause I to lose all of his recruiting cred

i think he'd be one hell of a hire for Miami, but I don't think he's on their radar anyways

Huh? It's extremely fertile recruiting grounds and you play in a "power 5" conference full of mostly middling programs. All it takes is keeping the talent at home and being a halfway competent coach and you're golden (no pun intended).

I did not realize there was that big of an issue between him and Hayden.

Both of his sons aren't going to LSU. At least one will be playing college football somewhere else next year.
