“I went into this thing pretty positive where I was going to be but Arkansas made it hard on me,” Santos said. “No doubt about it. I’ve never seen anything like this, man. These people are Hog crazy. No doubt about it. Everywhere you turn they’re there. It’s been so awesome to experience that and see … it’s only Arkansas here and see how diehard everyone is. That’s just blowing me away. ”

The eighteen prospects took in the gymnastics meet Friday night and the Arkansas-Michigan game Saturday afternoon. Students at both events held up signs with each recruit’s name and some with photos. “That was pretty neat,” Santos said. “You look up and they had pictures of you and signs made for you That’s a way to impress a recruit for sure. For guys like me that’s pretty neat. people watching you all of the time makes you want to work harder because everybody is watching and expecting you to perform at a high level. It puts pressure on you but it’s good pressure. I like it a lot and that was pretty neat too.” Santos’ father, Albert, made the trip with his son and had high praise
for the way Arkansas treated the prospects and their families.

“They really rolled out the red carpet for these guys,” Albert Santos said. “It was impressive. It was definitely one of the most impressive places I’ve been because the fans to me were genuine and so fired up their potential Razorbacks. It was really a classy and exciting atmosphere.” The elder Santos acknowledged the recent offer and upcoming visit to Texas will be tough for his son to turn down. He expects Dalton have a final decision on Monday. .
