juco return man commits to uga

They say he's comparable to IMac. 5'9 175 pounds and runs a 4.39 40. Could transfer before fall camp and be eligible for play immediately.

Ahkil put on his Twitter that he was committed to UGA. The question is, would he get the scholarship that was supposed to go to Demery?

Apparently he didn't talk to anybody at UGA before he put it on twitter

According to a article on UGAsports.com UGA contacted him, and Utah State was the only other team. If he is joining the team before fall camp then they knew something, or they liked what they seen on film of him. Either way, if he comes in and is a dynamic 0layer I am more than happy to have him.

If we are picking up anybody late in this class it should be a Dlineman. I imagine we have plenty of fast receivers or running backs that can run the ball back and I would rather see somebody like Woerner in the slot then another Imac.

Not necessarily. We have a solid 2 deep for this year at DL. Quality JUCO DL at this point are going to be few and far between and only serve as depth for a couple of years. Better off recruiting high school DL you can develop into meaningful contributors.

Taking anyone at this point in the summer means you need a contributor and this guy could contribute at ST

When our only 17 Dlineman isn't on campus yet and we have nobody on board for 18. I think it's time to worry.

The matchup preference is probably the taller Woerner out wide, with smaller, quicker guys in the slot for screens and sweeps.

Counts towards 17 class and will only be using two years of scholarship.
We'll be fine at DT. Plenty of depth. No need for Juco really. We'll sign two this year, and two that will be rated higher next year.

Amazing how people are losing their mind on the interior DL, when we massively under recruited, and had no depth for decades on the offensive side

The Oline recruiting has been fuggin awesome. Now it seems like Dline recruiting is gonna become our new achiles heal. Not really loosing my mind just noticing the lack of numbers and can't figure how it won't affect us in the next few years.

Grabbing two this year, which will happen.... Eventually lol.
We have a 4* to hold onto for '19, then we'll probably add one and a Juco then if I had to guess.
We went into this year knowing the class was weak at DT, and we missed the few elite we were after. Still a long way until February though

Kipp Adams said Demery's scholly went to Brice Ramsey. The staff knew Ramsey was set to leave in 2017, but obviously things changed. If Crumpton enrolls, that means Wyatt and/or Beal didn't qualify.

It's Wyatt. Beal has a shot from what I've gathered

If true, I hate to hear that about Wyatt. We knew he was an academic risk when UGA offered, but he's such a unique DL talent. We need bodies on the DL.

As for Beal, I'm still shocked he's even in this position. I can't remember anyone mentioning his academic shortcomings. I think he was even a potential early enrollee at one point. The Beal situation is a head scratcher.

Beal was at 3 different high schools his senior year, not that surprising there might be some clearinghouse issues due to that.
