Dontavius Russell is considered an AU legacy because of his uncle.

No he's not. Your grandfather or father are the only ones that can make you a legacy.

His uncle helped AU. But yes I agree it doesn't make him a legacy.

Rashad Roundtree - He'll take his time, but would be a surprise if he went anywhere but UGA. He's from a UGA family and lives in Augusta, probably the most pro-UGA area in the state other than Athens.

His mom is a Bama fan. Stepdad for UGA.

Who a kid grew up rooting for doesn't amount to a hill of beans these days

His uncle played for Auburn. His father and grandfather did not. He's not a legacy. Even if an article thinks he is.

It is arguing semantics. Whether it was his dad, grandad or another close family member, the effect is the same. I'm still going to consider that a legacy since the end result is typically the same.

Does anyone over the age of twenty three follow recruiting?

I mean it was neat to see where everybody ends up you played with / against and you care enough to follow a few years behind but, following kids you don't know who haven't played a down in their senior season is nutty and pointless if and only if you are not a coach or in the business....

No kid really knows where he will go at 16 hell they don't even know what pants to wear to school at that age.

Ridiculous....

His dad is a Sheriff in Columbia County. IF he wants to get reelacted he will tell his son to get his butt to Athens.

(Yes, I am serious)

That the guy can do a great job and not get reelected because his son went somewhere besides UGA.

Just a quick bump for an opinion

Any chance Roundtree goes north to OSU? Guys are saying he has legit interest and is making an unofficial and an offical. I don't see it but figured I would see if anyone has an update from a couple months ago.

Doubt it. Georgia and Auburn seem like his top two schools from everything I have heard about him. I know he is supposed to visit Auburn again in a couple of weeks for a big recruiting function

Oh yeah, 247 keeps twitter updates next to a players profiles. When I pulled up his profile, I noticed he has a tweet mentioning his plans to unveil his top 5 schools next week. I fully expect Georgia and Auburn will be two of those five schools

I figured it was a longshot but thought as the recruiting cycle went on certain schools may fall out based on various things (coaches, other guys at the position etc)

Like Auburn for example has Edwards now (from OSU ironically), so I thought that may have moved them down a bit.

Thanks guys
