There is a good chance Michigan is going to flip V. Jefferson away from Ole Miss

According to Woody Wommack:

quote:

Not sure if you guys saw tonight but our Ole Miss site is reporting that Drew Richmond has decommitted from Ole Miss, with all signs pointing to him signing with Tennessee. So how does this impact Michigan? Well, Richmond was probably Van Jefferson's biggest recruiter, convincing him to push back his plans to enroll early so he could take an official to see the Rebels before making a final decision.

Richmond even texted me with an "I told you so" type text after the Rebels landed Jefferson, and talked about how he was going to help bring others to Oxford.

The news of his decommitment, paired with Jefferson's recent visit to Michigan tells me that the Wolverines coaches will get every opportunity to steal Jefferson away from Ole Miss.

I haven't talked to Jefferson, but if I had to make a pick based on my gut feeling now I would forecast a flip to the Wolverines.

Jefferson also removed Ole Miss commit from his twitter, and changed his background to the detroit skyline.

His parents didn't go on the trio to Michigan with him. I'm not worried but who knows at this point

It's certainly easier in the Big Ten, no one would stop him.

Congrats on getting Williamson tonight, breh. We were hoping he was coming to UM, but I think it's awesome that he has the chance to play for a great team so close to family in Gainesville. Good luck to him.

He is an Ole Miss fan.

I'm actually excited about his commitment. Usually don't get over excited about lower rated skill guys, but he seems like he developed a lot his SR yr.

Um. He's from Gainesville, GA which is a good 6 plus hour drive from Gainesville FL. Keep your Yankee arse up there if you can't get this shite right.

Do OM fans still think we were crazy when we said Jefferson was all over the place, or nah?

Did he not just say a week ago that he always wanted to go to Ole Miss? I mean really?

Call me bitter, but guys like Van and Arden Key don’t understand the word “commitment”. It’s sad really. I have a feeling he is going to struggle when he gets to college, because once they’re enrolled, the honeymoon is over.

I agree on Van, but why you bringing Key into this? We didn't really want him, just in case the way we recruited him didn't make that VERY clear. Van may have trouble because he's a diva that overrates his own ability. Key though, he just isn't all that good. He's the next Dexter Morant. No need to bitch about losing him.

Also, if it weren't for UGA convincing Key to decommit from USC in the first place (then promptly not talk to him for 2 weeks), he probably never would have left them at all.

I guess, I don't know that Key fits that though. He only decommitted because UGA came after him and he wanted Georgia. Then we backed off, LSU got involved and he realized we just weren't that serious about him. I think he rushed his first commit and was just undecided after LSU threw in.

Van is a bitch made diva, though. Big difference.

So much bad happening for Ole Miss at once. Almost like it was orchestrated.
