DL did fine. I'd say it was Trey DePriest and the DBs that made the run D look bad. I know they got yardage between the tackles, but some of that was from routine plays where we usually stop them after they get that rare crease.

Yup. We have 3 DTs that have NFL size and ability in Wright, Blackson, and Adams and all 3 were underwhelming this season.

Kid is 6-2 330 and does not want to play the nose? Does anyone else get an uneasy feeling about this statement? This kid better get the selfishness out of his arse or he will just end up with the best seat in the house.

Marcell Dareus played DE at 320, and they are supposed to have similar athletic ability.

It's about getting him on campus. The staff is telling him DT, but I'd be shocked if he ends up anywhere but nose. IMO it's amazing some kids don't want to play the 0. If you're damn good at it, you have just as good of a chance as a 43 DT has of being a first round draft pick, and they're more rare.

We played with a nose guard in our 3-4 base twice this season, against Lsu and Arkansas. Bama runs more 4 man front than 3 man front.
The coaches would prefer to line up in 3-4 but the offenses we play isn't condusive to that
