Our DB coach left to be DC @ Boise and took DSG with him. He told him he could be the "Johnny football of Boise state" direct quote.

Nick Harvey was also the #3 corner behind tony brown and arrion springs. He's just not a starter yet, although he's competing for the #2 spot this year. He also is competing for nickel. He played several games last year and returned punts when Speedy was out.

Tony Brown is going to be good, but he's not Alabama's best CB right now. That would be Cyrus Jones. He was 2nd team All-SEC in 2014.

Sounds like Tony B is beginning to mature a little bit. He was a loose cannon (in many ways) as a freshman. On-field ability-wise, he's a top 10 draft pick in 2 years if he will just listen to the coaches (which was a real problem last year).

Tony Brown got benched for getting burned too often. Alabama started Cyrus Jones and Eddie Jackson down the stretch.

There's always room for improvement, but Tony Brown's freshman season was not the kind of success that was expected from him. So let's not overstate his accomplishments.

His problem wasn't "getting burned too often". He got burned a couple times, like all freshmen. I believe you're thinking about Eddie Jackson with the burned thing. Brown's issue last year was immaturity. He didn't want to listen to coaching. Smarted off to Saban several times. Doghouse city.

I compare Brown's freshman year to that of Dee Milliner. Freshmen that are called on to play that much will have some tough days. But he will be a big time corner for Alabama.

Brown gave up at least 2 TD passes against Ole Miss and then never started again. But what do I know. I'm not a Bama fan so I guess I'm not allowed to have an opinion or something.

Just one. Collins was bad in that game though. But came up big the next week against Arkansas.

Nope. You're thinking of Landon Collins. That was the worst game of Collins' career. He got burned twice that game for TDs. Again, Brown was far from perfect, but get the facts right. No one has criticized your opinion. Thicken that skin up a little bit.
