My understanding is that Strong told Irvin (Tim Irvin) Muschamp/T-Rob wouldn't be at Auburn long

As did every single other coach recruiting an Auburn defensive prospect last season.

This is child's play. Baylor was telling basketball recruits that Billy Kennedy was going to die from his Parkinson's.

I think negative recruiting backfires more than it helps. 90% of people who visit Ole Miss have a quote that's something along the lines of "People have been saying this and that about Oxford, but it was nothing like they said.", and then the coaches who were doing it look like liars. Ken Webster told the AJC that Georgia negative recruiting against Ole Miss really turned him off.

Many are starting to believe that Vaughn got or at least tried to get a couple questionable recruits into Texas. Devonaire Clarington's ACT was flagged by the NCAA. Texas chose to walk away from that issue like they did from Vaughn.

You named one - who ultimately didn't get in. Who else are you talking about?
