I'm not sure if Kline is a troll, I think he is just that stupid. That, or an alter just trying to make A&M look bad, either way he needs to get banned for his clueless rambling.

Wow, this thread has gotten bad.

While I understand the OP's premise, his delivery needs work.

It's ok to say that because of Sumlins offense, you predict LSU will start to have trouble with it more.

That's fine.

But when you state it as fact, it rubs people the wrong way.

Obviously, I somewhat agree with you that A&M's/AU/etc offenses are changing this league, even if just barely. The up-tempo, spread attack is not common in the SEC, well, not as much as it is now anyway.

Logic would conclude that putting better athletes on the field in a system that is designed to make teams play more man, will likely result in better results than they would with lesser talent.

A&M is getting that talent now. It's been missing the key talent, however, the defensive talent, which we are now getting as well.

Look, A&M can become a dominant player in the SEC. But the SEC is still the SEC. If we were in the big 12, I would put $1000 down right now that we would win at least 5 of the next 10 conference championships. But we aren't. We are in the SEC. And there will always be a Bama/LSU/AU recruiting right there with us, if not better.

So while our talent is raising our play, the SEC in total is raising their play as well. Facts are in the numbers. More top recruits choose the SEC each year than in the last. And that trend will continue, continuing in multiple-solid teams every year.

LSU is never going to be "down" neither will Bama. We might be better some years, or those teams might be a little light on experience, but the talent will always be there to pull out the victory for many of the SEC teams against anyone.

So, please. Revise your delivery. And wait till those "perfect moments" arise.

And to answer your question in the OP. No, A&M has not hurt the SEC big dogs in recruiting Texas. If anything, our move as provided many SEC teams great exposure in our fine state, and many highly ranked kids still flock to other top SEC schools. Look at ole miss in the metroplex for example. They are getting kids that would have normally gone to A&M in the past (we have a real weapon with our offense so we recruit better against most SEC teams than we do with, say, defensive recruits, and can affor to be much more picky with our offensive recruits) and those recruits going to ole miss, state and mizzou are the type of recruits that the Big 12 is missing out on now. OU has been extremely hampered by our move. tu is no longer receiving their top 2-3 in state choices for recruits on either side of the ball, really.

Basically, our move has totally dicked the Big 12 and boosted the image of the SEC to 25 million more people.

Just curious for you rabid Mizzou fans. How long before you guys get over 500 in the SEC East and who will be the five wins over?

I don't see you guys beating Georgia, Florida, or South Carolina anytime soon. So that means you have to sweep Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Kentucky every year and hope to pick off one of the big three in the East. Yes the games have to be played but I think even the most rabid fans realize that Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina have more talent and in most years Tennessee will as well.

So how do you break 500 in the East or the SEC in total? And when?

This is a reasonable assessment.

I think TAM's membership in the SEC is having a positive impact across SEC in recruiting the state of Texas. Increased SEC exposure in the state will drive more and more Texas talent to the SEC and TAM cant sign all of them. LSU may be the biggest beneficiary of this. LSU has historically done well in Texas and continues to do so. LSU signed 5* Texas talent in 2014, has more committed in 2015, and is in great position to do really well in Texas for the 2016 class. To be fair, TAM is recruiting well in Louisiana and that will continue, but I think this dynamic is a net gain for LSU. In other words, we're gaining more in Texas than we are losing in Louisiana. Eventually, the rest of the conference will as well. Everybody wins. Except UT and the Big 12.

Condescension noted:

I take my quarterback all day long. You are getting 213.5 yards per game and 2.5 touchdowns and we are getting 397 yards per game and 3.5 touchdowns. My guy is almost twice as productive as yours and we pulled our guy early second quarter last week.

Sumlin and Spavital are light years ahead of LSU in quarterback recruiting and development. Pretty funny that you are trying to compare our strength to your weakness over the last few years. Your quarterback play WILL NOT out perform Texas A&M in a season anytime in the near future.

Kenny Hill - Gatorade Player of the Year in Texas - Senior year
Kyle Allen - number 1 rated quarteback in the country class of 2014
Kyler Murray - number 2 rated quaterback in the country class of 2015

Post about your linebackers and I will give you the nod that LSU gets better production than we do.

I only asked if it has gone up, gone down or stayed the same since Texas A&M joined the SEC. Never stated that LSU does not recruit well in Texas.

Even though the post was to the entire SEC mostly what you see in this thread is that LSU fans (most of which probably don't have a degree from LSU) feel necessary to ignore the original post but flame away that LSU and Les Miles are the GOAT and Texas A&M sucks.

Pretty funny! LSU and Les Miles is not the GOAT and Texas A&M doesn't suck.

Pretty sure we both just sent one up to the league this year.
