It's seemed that the last two times y'all signed multiple marquee backs, it was the less-regarded one that balled out: Chubb over Michel and Gurley over Marshall.

I don't think anyone seen Gurley and Chubb coming in and being as unbelievable as they were. Running back like that are pretty rare for any program. We have missed on a ton in the past we thought would be great but never lived up to the hype but those 2 sure did. Sony and Marshall are still talented guys but Sony is a much better player as a compliment. He does everything well but he shouldn't be the guy getting 20 carries a game.

The only fact you have given is that you have two RB commitments.

Why would a rb want to go to Texas am over UGA the choice is pretty obvious

Hopefully he's committed to the school and not the coaching staff, Whaley and Holyfield are major needs for the dawgs with Chubb possibly heading towards a medical RS.

Aggies have TWO RB's committed. Which is all they are taking.

While that may be true at this point, Whaley himself stated tonight that he actually committed to UGA back on his official visit earlier in the season. He just decided he wanted to go public with it today. Seeing as that is the case, at that time A&M only had 1 RB committed. So it would seem that the, "Whaley screwed around until A&M was full at RB" argument has little to no merit. He actually just wants to be at UGA, where RB's are a featured portion of the offense.

Wtf is this garbage? You trying reverse, e-psychology? Everything that's been stated by him, family, friends and doctors is that he's gonna be 100% for next season

I don't think you are understanding what he means by medical redshirt. That just means he's going to get an extra year of eligibility for being hurt.

I hope you are correct that he will be 100% by the UNC game, I think Chubb playing at all next season is just hopeful at best. Hate to see this young man get Lattimored.

..I highly doubt A&M's depth or coaches told him to look elsewhere considering Whaley is rated much higher
you think a&m coaches give a fricking shite about recruiting rankings?

Wow, that would be pretty amazing to be back so soon, at least from the way the injury looked at the time. You have to figure he is gone after next year either way. Hopefully he fully recovers and gets to play next season.

Ah, the ole silent, pre-commit commit.

You guys got a good player, but you don't think it's a little coincidental he committed a short time after Williams committed to A&M and the ags were now full at RB?

Whaley has been quoted as saying that he couldn't commit to A&M because they already have 2 RBs and none of them are flipping. That is straight out of his mouth

That doesn't mean he tried to commit to AM. Why does it bother some of you that he picked UGA? You have two of the three you wanted.

Don't know what to tell you about your theory. Maybe Whaley can respond to it better than me...

quote:

I just wanted to surprise everybody because they thought I was going to do it at the All-American game," Whaley said. "It was starting to get a little overwhelming and stressful so I decided to do it a little earlier."

Whaley took an official visit to Georgia the week of the South Carolina game and apparently made his decision then.

"I have been silently committed since my official," Whaley said.
