So how pissed was LSU that you guys got Patterson?
Funny they really thought he was coming there for a little bit.

I'll be honest. I was shocked when he choose us. I didn't think we had a shot with him. I thought we were signing Q. Davis. I'm sure he went to UNC, due to Patterson signing here.
I'm thrilled we have him. Just hope Lane or Hill or somebody can run the ball. It should be easier with Hunter, Rogers, Patterson, Dallas, and Pig at WRs. It should open some things up.
Not to meantion the OL is seasoned and talented. Should be fun to watch.

Were you directing the "you don't have a fricking brain" comment at me earlier? Because I am happy with the class we got.

Oh, no man. I noticed I responded to you too. It wasn't meant for you. Just a general thought. The other rantards think we had a disappointed NSD.
Not towards you at all.

The 2002 UT class imo is one of the best classes ever.

The 99 and 2000 class was pretty legit. 2002 was nice as well. Since then, we've had a lot of top classes, but a lot of busts within them too.

It was a good class given the circumstances but no linebackers sucks arse. The loss of the UK streak did me in, I said I would give Dooley 3 years and he will get that, but unless Dooley stops with the excuses and quits throwing players under then bus he can GTFO. I am afraid he will talent his way to year four.

"talent his way to year four"?
Are you kidding? This will be the first year he has an SEC caliber roster that isn't composed of only freshmen and sophomores.
The schedule is light years easier than the last two years. Not to mention its the first year since lord knows when, when we actually have meaningful returning players.
There are a lot of people who think UT will have another bad year, can't blame them based on past performance. However, I think this could be a big step in the right direction, barring any unforseen disasters(injuries, coach leaves for USC, etc..)

So you think he has coached his way to an extension? I don't think UT will have a bad year based on the talent on O, but that does not abate my concerns on other fronts. The youth excuse is done now and unless he can find a running game that included a competent RB and run blocking then teams will tee off on Bray.

Where did I say he has coached his way to an extension?

IMO, he has to win 8/9 this year, and 10 the following to get an extenstion. But knowing ADs these days, we will cave to his agent if he wins 9.
