South Carolina RB Mario Anderson had the aim of transferring to USC or Oklahoma this off-season.

Instead, the only team left standing with interest was Memphis.

Hope he owns a nice pair of blue suede shoes.

Dude was a nobody D2 transfer that no other program in the country was interested in last year besides us. And then stabs us in the back when he was successful here

Hope his dad who was hoping for Oklahoma is disappointed

Yep.

You reap what you sow.

South Carolina filled up their RB room quickly after he decided to do this.

RB in the transfer portal is a bit like the NFL... most SEC teams have a good RB or two and you better be really really dang good if you think you're going to make an NIL demand.

You hate to see this for a kid... but it should be an important lesson for all student athletes. If you're going to enter the portal, there is absolutely risk involved and you better understand your own self worth.

Rio Gocrazy was a touch surly in that response.

typically yes,

I don't feel for him in a sense, but also hate it for him because he had created a really cool story for himself.

these kids are so short sighted, chasing a bag for short term money, when the long term play could be your first school. If he stays at SC, he is probably employable anywhere in the state for life worst case, best case he is RB1 for an SEC school and has a chance to do what Kevin Harris did....after starting at Newberry College
