I haven't seen anything concrete so your guess is as good as anyone's at this moment.
Edit to say this, I think with Coker coming in and Cornwell looking very sharp coming off his injury, Town may have realized that he might not be the starter till 18/19 and decided to look elsewhere so he can come in a play early. I could be completely off base though.

Bamad/Chattabama, was Ricky Town considering USC while Lane Kiffin was there?
I don't know, I always considered him solid even through the coaching change because I was under the impression that he liked USC while Lane Kiffin was still coaching there. I don't really remember the timeline of what went on with him.

TTs, TideSaint could best answer that question.
Someone else pointed out that Town was supposed to spend the entire upcoming Spring Break in T-town and now all of a sudden this. Makes me wonder what all of a sudden happened.

TheOcean Ricky Town Decommit? Louisiana is 10000x better than Alabama, bro
I always laugh when someone from Louisiana talks about how Tuscaloosa is a dump.
It's not anywhere near the nicest city in Alabama but it would be a jewel in Louisiana. I have LA as part of my territory for my job and I've spent a lot of time in that state and there is nothing in LA that's nicer than Hoover, Vestavia, Mountain Brook, or Madison. And most towns in AL would be upgrades to anything in LA.

No, but I think a lot of that was due to Kiffin being on the hot seat. Don't know many top flight qbs considering programs where their HC may be fired midseason.

For the Ohio man. I used to live in Columbus and Toledo.. So I have first hand knowledge of Ohio. The state in general is very poor, people are very uneducated for a northern state. Columbus reminds me of Detroit just with a little less foreclosed homes. I now live in MN and I can say it makes Ohio look like a 3rd world country. And to bash the south is funny because Ohio is a giant shite hole compared to the bad states like Alabama and Mississippi

After living in both states.. I can tell you that the italicized part is just now true. Hoover is alright, Huntsville/Madison is probably the place to be between the two states, Tuscaloosa is a college town but otherwise a huge dump...
Both states suck. Move out west but not to the west coast.. it's worth it.

no, he is not a fan of Kiffin and it's the reason he SC wasn't an option. Even with Kiffin being fired he was still solid to Bama, until Nuss moved on to UM. That, coupled with Kiffin being hired are the reasons for the decommit.

I grew up in a small town in Columbiana County, OH.
It sucked.

Any reasoning behind his decommitment?
Pretty clear to me that he wants nothing to do with Kiffin. He never even visited USC while Kiffin was there. Dude is smart. Now he will go to USC where he probably would've signed with already had Kiffin not been there.
Strong hire Bama. When you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas.

Too bad Nuss won't last at Michigan, once Hoke is canned.
