Last we've heard is that he wants to meet the new OL coach first.

There seems to be some momentum for Ole Miss here. We'll see if it's just visit high or if he's serious

AU will visit him this week and try to convince him to visit the last weekend. Pretty sure visiting UF this weekend

Fwiw he supposedly is prone to "visit highs". Clemson thought he was gonna commit just last week & now seems like a lot or OM buzz. Curious to see where he ends up landing

We have him, PFF, and Barnes all visiting on the 21st.

We are trying to sell them to all come here together. Would be pretty fricking awesome.

I don't know anything about PFF but I think Barnes is UNC bound.

It's between UF and UNC. His mom wants him at UNC, but UF having a strong Oline coach now may help us. I also think we may be recruiting him as a guard. Not sure if that could back fire. Frere and Gour are better tackles than him. He would make a very good guard for our power run game.

Didn't you hire Hevesy from MSU?

Yes. He sucks at recruiting but he is a very good Oline coach overall. Miss State was sixth in the nation in sacks allowed. He worked at UF as well, and had a very strong line here too. Davis...sucked.

Doesn't compute.

Gouraige won't be in this class.

We're looking like we're gonna finish the OL with:

Banks
Bleich
McDowell
NPF

Were do you think Gour is going? I'll take NPF for sure. Bleich is a strong tank so he could be useful quickly.

As for you thinking Hevesy isn't a good offensive line coach, see the numbers before and after his arrival. Guy is very, very good coaching. Just because he isn't a strong recruiter doesn't mean he can't coach and develop the position....you do understand there is more to coaching than recruiting...right?

Perhaps State being extremely run heavy contributed to the sack numbers. His recruiting was a major liability per msu fans

He was okay at UF. Not to worried about it at offensive line. That position is much more about development. Our best linemen the last ten years were the Pouncey's. Less highly rated than a lot of five star lineman we've gotten who weren't as good.

The guy worked for Florida for a long time. He has more than proven he knows how to coach a line. TJ Gator is an idiot. He doesn't like experience or proven coaches. He wants nobodies who smile nice so he can call them good recruiters(despite evidence showing they aren't...achoo FSU's staff).

My issue is he isn't coaching TE's. He was a great TE/OT coach for us.

With Seider leaving they may bring in another OL coach

Yea the Seider news sucks. I would have rather him than Knox at the position but isn't my choice to make.

Could move Hevesy back to OT/TE coach and hire an inside line coach that recruits. Would work pretty well.

Will wait to see what news comes out, some insiders on GC aren't all that upset by it. Been in the works for a while.
