Because we stopped recruiting him as were gonna take 2 next year and already have someone better this year.

To be fair, I doubt Auburn would have prepared HIM either, not sure how much of a pro prospect he will turn out to be.

Wish him the best of luck though, hopefully he can really shine at Louisville.

The reality is auburn has a starting QB in the league who just signed a huge extension... Petrino QBs are nfl failures.

So is that a better indicator of future success than Petrino having a guy for 4 years and he can't stay on an NFL roster?

Time will tell how well Coach Malzahn is at preparing quarterbacks. He has done a lot when he has had little to work with in previous years.

I think Jeremy Johnson's upcoming year will be very telling.

I think Johnson will be a beast but that doesn't equate to being a beast NFL player.
