Nice offer sheet. Can't help but notice that he doesn't have an offer from Bama or LSU though.

You're right...

Any LSU people know anything about him? I'll stay cautiously optimistic about him because as soon as he gets the LSU offer, it's a different ballgame being a Louisana kid.

We'll see..

Aranda isnt too found of him so we likely wont offer. We have a literal shite-ton of LB offers out there too.

Aranda is looking for more instinctive downhill guys, Clarke has good size already but he lacks the ability to really diagnose and attack a play.

Hmmm, you drinking way too much purple drank. Why not say "he doesn't fit the prototype of a 3-4 OLB" and call it a day.

That's been the knock on clarke since day 1, he absolutely has the size for the scheme, he just doesn't play how Aranda likes his LBs to play.

Too bad they have to be a finished product when they come out of high school to play for LSU. Maybe y'all could get some coaches that are able to teach them?

This doesnt make any sense on what I was talking about. Some guys just play different, you cant teach instinct/aggressiveness. That's how you play.

I get what you are saying, but it makes him sound pretty bad. Sounds like the kid has no instinct and isn't aggressive, and that he can't be taught those things. From what I'm reading, I'd rather the kid go to ULL

There's advantages/disadvantages to each way. A read/react LB will generally get tackles at LOS or for a gain of 1 or 2 (on successful plays by him), give up less big plays. An aggressive attacking LB will get more tackles behind the LOS for TFLs, but also is more likely to be caught out of position and give up big plays.

We just need LB's in general, so I don't really care what category he fits into

If Chavis were here this kid would probably have an offer. It's interesting to see the guys Aranda does go after. He offered a 3 star MLB this weekend who is committed to Houston. Marquez Bimage
