Not sure, my gut says he stays with one of the Miss schools.

I feel pretty optimistic about him. I've heard it's OM or LSU. MSU is not a candidate, I was told that's purely optimistic smoke provided by MSU insiders. I'd say right now it's 60/40 OM/LSU but we should know more after his OV this weekend.

Well you have to remember that Clifton Garrett will likely be ahead of him on the depth chart for years to come. Its the poison of being a top program, not to mention Garrett's better and yes he'll be moved to play ILB

If you dont think Clifton Garrett is better than leo lewis you clearly dont know who Clifton Garrett is.

Garrett is gonna be great for LSU but I really don't know if he's better than Lewis. That said, LSU is likely going to start using 3-4 more and more, so there will be more MLB use, not to mention a faster rotation. With linebackers I really don't see the need to be "the guy" like there is with other positions. With a top prospect like Lewis, he knows he'll either be the starter or he'll be rotated in constantly.

Garrett had almost as many tackles in his Junior year as Lewis's Jr and Sr seasons combined. Not saying I don't want the kid just saying we aren't hurting like yall if we don't and he'd see mostly special teams and some spell LB work in his 1st year at LSU

I think Clifton is better and I also think Leo knows he has a chance to be a starter by the end of next season at OM. We have one semi legit ILB on our team right now. Missing on Nyles Korgan last year was huge.

I hear what your saying but he'll be in line. I look at it this way in terms of usage, Garrett will get the Fournette approach and Leo would get the Williams approach. What do you think?

I didn't like the steele hire and still dont to this day but I do think this is one recruit where it was a positive as opposed to bringing in a guy he'd never heard of or spoken with.

Literally all of his best friends are going to State. That alone makes State a factor. This happens every year and every year LSU comes up short in flipping the MS recruit. It is a MSU/OM battle with OM having a decent lead.

Because Chavis was so strange with his choice of linebackers, I think it's hard to predict what's going to happen. We all seem to forget that Garret didn't even crack the lineup last year, although I do believe they did that more to preserve his redshirt than anything. Steele recruited Lewis at Alabama. He likes Lewis. A lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see Steele keep Beckwith at MLB, use Lewis as the second MLB in the 3-4, and have Garret learn strong-side outside linebacker. That's my guess at what would happen if they land Lewis, but like I said we have a really murky idea of what LSU thinks of Garret right now.

I mean you could be right. I've just heard from good people that don't have a dog in the fight that it's OM or LSU, simple as that.

I'd like to have him at LSU, obvious signs point to above average interest in LSU...but....I think he ends up at OM. Good vibe going on up there right now and its hard to walk away from.

The land shark died Oct 25, 2014 and was mocked thereafter for the remainder of the season. I guess finally reaching Atlanta in some capacity is a cause for excitement in Oxford. That being said, the kid can lay the wood and will make a good Sam backer. Don't see him at Mike but we shall see.

So did you hear from "MSU Insiders" or "People that don't have a dog in the fight"?

To clarify, Lewis' interest in MSU is has been exaggerated by MSU insiders. Sorry, that was confusing of me.
