Yep. We try to tell them this. They don't listen. They think everybody knows who "THE OLE MISS UNIVERSITY" is.

Oh..... and DC settle your fricking rustled jimmies down over there. Damn you sure can get worked up over a message board.

Cite one outsider. I'll cite my years and years of experience living outside of SEC country.

Nobody gives a frick about your years of experience. You're always on here doing two things: Bleeding out of your pussy and trying to justify Ole Miss..

I'm just glad I have been alive to see some success from my team. I really can't remember Ole Miss doing anything in any sport with any mount of significance. I understand your bitterness DC, I really do.

As reputable as you seem, I'm going to have to disagree and side with these various publications.

Well, sorry that you have a short memory and a poor attention span.

Keep using events from the 1990's to convince yourselves of how awesome y'all are! It's totally working! No, for real, maybe soon you'll convince everyone else in the SEC as well as the national sports media of your bullshite! Just keep trying!

The Steven Godfrey challenge is still alive and well. Nobody seems to be able to meet it.

For those who aren't aware, Steven Godfrey is a sportswriter and Ole Miss grad who wrote a column in Oxfordtown Magazine challenging State fans who think Starkville doesn't suck to present one single bit of national media exposure regarding Starkville that is on the same level of the national media exposure Oxford has gotten. Seriously, just one appearance on the Travel Channel or the Food Network, or one article in the New York Times or Washington Post, or one positive mention in a Hollywood film. Just one. Present it.

Is our government still looking for dirty communists? I think we found one! When we want the opinion from the midwest (I know the code word for Mother Russia when I read it), we shall ask for it, comrade.

This may be your point DC, but I don't think it's possible

Little Dooey in Starkville was presented on an episode of a show in the food network for its fried ribs.

What filmed mentioned Oxford in a positive light? The only one I can think of is Blindside but that wasn't really about Oxford it was about a Memphis family adopting and raising a player that eventually went to Ole Miss

He asked for one article in any of those, I provided one.

I'll admit that Oxford is a better college town than Starkville...but Starkville isn't as bad as some make it out to be. It isn't a shithole by any means, there is plenty of good food, bars, etc in Starkville.

If the restaurants and bars were not so spread out I'd favor it over Oxford..
