I hate that Townsend has gotten you guys all tied up in knots to the point that when somebody post an interview of a recruit speaking more highly of the other school in play that you lash out...

Such tempers!

It's just football!!!!

This has NOTHING to do with Townsend.

You said "LSU is the leader" for RN in the OP, and linked and article where it never mentioned it.

Your arse is getting called out on it. And you're such a pussy that you edited it because you realize you're a moron.

Sounds to me like his predicament is that he knows LSU is a better environment to develop, dominate and then go pro, but his family/friends all want him to go to OM. So from a pure football standpoint, he might prefer LSU, but when you bring in all the personal stuff, he's pretty much an OM lock. He doesn't want to disappoint his family, I respect that.

Pretty much. OM fans can say "He's going to the pros no matter what" and that's true, but there is no doubt that LSU has developed better d-linemen in recent history. We get better players yes, but LSU develops them more as well. He would be a better player at LSU than at OM, IMO. Who wouldn't want to play next to Freak Johnson, Ego and Danielle Hunter?

From what I understand he loves the chance of playing with his brother for 3 years, potentially being a part of something special, and simply being an absolute legend at OM instead of being just another number at a program that churns em out like yall and Bama.

eta: He is gonna have quite a bit of talent around him. In case you missed our game this year, we have some really good young D-linemen and more are on the way - besides RN.

Doesn't matter if you are trying to play dumb. He will be with them. FWIW, Channing Ward and CJ Johnson are two highly recruited guys that LSU really wanted and thought they had at certain points too. Get over it and stop acting like you don't know who they are. CJ didn't get to play against y'all in DV this year due to being injured.

Maybe not, but he sure talked alot more about LSU than Ole Miss. More about Les Miles than Freeze. Alot more about LSU's defense than Ole miss's defense. Alot more about LSU putting players in the NFL...

OH NOES!

CJ Johnson - previous 4/5 star who yall heavily recruited
Channing Ward- previous 4/5 star who yall heavily recruited
Issac Gross - Freshman all SEC, former 3 star
Lavon Hooks - One of the top juco DTs in the country who enrolls later this month.

And there are several more who will be in the DL rotation.

Last I checked we roasted yalls defense's arse and your overhyped DL is losing several starters in Mingo, Montgomery, and Logan.

In the end, I don't think it's going to be his final decision. This guy wants to go pro.

This idea that certain schools are "better" at putting players in the NFL than others is nonsense.

If you're good, you'll make it to the NFL, regardless of where you play college ball. The reason LSU puts a lot of players into the NFL is because they recruit a lot of really good players who could make it to the league regardless.

He won't listen. He is acting too cool, and ignorant at this point. I don't think he follows this stuff very closely to be honest.
