Hell, UGA and Eason were at one point being mentioned as players in Craig's recruitment. Kid is going to be all over the place between now and NSD

Nothing is set in stone with this kid. Ohio State appeared to be the biggest threat when he first committed to Auburn. I still think Auburn has a decent chance of getting him because I expect Jeremy Johnson to have a big year passing the ball

Yea OSU was originally the favorite pre Auburn commitment.

LINK

He says in the link above OSU was the team he rooted for growing up. Stan Drayton is gone, so that may have hurt the relationship

I have said for a while that the drama in his recruitment will likely go all the way to signing day next year and possibly even after signing day

What's the deal with this guy? He's hanging out with all of the LSU guys at the Rivals Five-Star challenge.

No doubt he'll flirt with lots of schools. In the end he's a big relationship guy though. It'll come down to Auburn and FSU in the end, I think. DCraig can reel him back in by NSD I believe, but that hinges on Auburn showing some proficiency in the passing game and Duke having a big year.

Which is why the recent relationship building with LSU commits is a positive sign for LSU fans.

Relationships with coaches almost always means more than relationships with players or teammates when it comes to recruiting

truth.

Perfect example was Cowart and Jefferson last year. They both verbal'd to AU on their OV in mid-Jan but come time to do it only one signed with Auburn and they went their own way where they felt most comfortable with the coaches.

FSU friend emailed me this from an FSU insider:

"Nate Craig-Myers looked very sharp in the morning session, but then in the evening he looked bored and a little banged up with an ankle injury. He spent a lot of time with FSU commit TE Isaac Nautaand also the LSU commits, including Saivion Smith. I think there is interest to visit LSU, but I'm not buying they are a serious player. When I got back, I checked again to see where things stand on Craig-Myers and FSU is still the favorite, with Ohio State being the major competition"

given I don't talk to the folks who'd know as often as I used to, at last check pretty recently (after our Big Cat Weekend) it will be FSU or Auburn. He was really feeling FSU when he decommitted but has visited Auburn post decommitment and "he missed Auburn". Coach Craig, again, will be the ace up Auburn's sleeve but it will all depend on how well Auburn can showcase Duke Williams and set him up for the NFL because he's being sold on taking over that role as a frosh.

I have a feeling he could be like Torrence Gibson in last years class if OSU can get him to campus. I may get the vibe b/c that's what I want to happen, but he always speaks highly of OSU even when he hasn't visited there.

Multiple insiders said OSU got their legit #1 guy this weekend in Austin Mack. I don't know if that is the #1 guy they thought they had a real chance with or they really believe he is the #1 guy on the board. He has the measurables to be dominant at 6'2'' 205 with 4.5 type speed

oh I know Meyer can 'croot with the best of em so there's no doubt OSU isn't to be ruled out. But it'd be a slight surprise based on what little I've heard. Our ace in the hole, other than his love for DCraig, is that we lose 3 SR WR and he'd come right in as a go-to guy as a frosh. LOTS of WRs in front of him at FSU.

He knew this when he decommitted...

your point? Its also 8 months before NSD. Him "decommitting" is no more than Derrick Brown saying UGA isn't his leader anymore. A commit is just a leader in June. These REAL decisions don't happen until Feb. of '16.
