Pretty sure he is just blowing off steam. Seems like pretty hollow words to me.

Do you get a check each month from MSU or do they pay by the week?

No. Mullen has stated that if a recruit is taking other visits, the MSU staff doesn't consider him committed yet. But ole miss posters put it into whatever context sounds best for them at the time, just like you just did.

Probably a good thing. Just another 2* they will miss out on.

As we all know recruiting = how you perform on the field.
State has won 4 out of 5 against your rebels while having been out recruited 5 out of 5 something doesnt add up there.
Maybe its called player development and retention.

For the space they occupy in your head, do they pay you monthly or weekly?

I'm reading from this that the kid was borderline D-1 that had offers from Sunbelt and C-USA type schools or below, and other AQ caliber schools came to check him out but stopped recruiting him NOT because his coach said he was committed to MSU but because he wasn't at the caliber they wanted, and now the only AQ-caliber team that actually offered him is now pulling his scholly offer....probably MSU expected him to develop throughout the year, and he probably coasted through the season.
He's in Ole Miss's backyard and offered by their in-state rival, and they didn't even offer him. Most predictions now have him headed to UAB, so he still gets a full ride at a FBS school....

It blows my mind that you continue to stoop to this argument when you are the biggest star gazer on the bored.
BTW, State outrecruited us in 2012 by a wide margin. And the Nutt classes that we "outrecruited" you are the ones that had the large attrition rate, something that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
But you go ahead and keep developing those diamonds

Exactly...
Would be shocked if we don't drop/greyshirt/place several more players -- and process several others on the current roster. We've only got 10 scholarship seniors on this team.

I think you meant the 2012 class. The 2011 class was the great flipmas meltdown -- which has proven to be a gross overreaction from our side over time. The 2010 class is the one that has proven to be bad for us -- and although 2011 was ranked terribly -- we hit on a bunch of diamonds that are proving/have proven to be good players. McKinney, JRob, Cox, Calhoun, Slay, Market, Malone, Preston Smith, Prescott, etc...

And we're in a similar boat with the 2012 class. Y'all had some high profile busts such as Evens, James, Grindle, while we've gotten great production out of lesser knowns like Gross, Hilton, Mathers, Walton. Still holding out hope for Ward.

Not sure why you are calling him a bust he redshirted this year and has lost 25 LBs. He will be in our DT two deep next year.
Quay nobody seems to have a clue what's going on with him.
Grindle was a flop

Did you expect James to redshirt his sophomore season when you signed him, or did you expect that he would have a big impact at this point?

He should have redshirted his FR year. Every report out of bowl practice is how good he looks slimmer in better shape and more active. I'm looking at the future and he's going to be a beast for the next 3 years.

Meh -- we hit pretty dang well on the 2012 class too. Out of 28 commits, we've had/are getting good contribution from 19 members of that class already -- and it will make up 19 of 49 total members of our Liberty Bowl Depth Chart -- including at least 5 starters.
We've had 3 surefire busts in that class: Grindle, Schuessler, and Addarius Perkins -- with a couple more possibilities.
For that matter, Channing Ward hasn't lit the woods on fire yet either. It looks kinda like Isaac Gross may be the only one of that group of highly-recruited DL to actually pan out...
