Heard from a friend of mine who works at SMU that Jonathan Williams III will be following the Kyle Wiltjer and Kelly Olynyk redshirt routine at Gonzaga.

If so, that's a good move. They have a god S&T coach there and a really good approach to the RS process. Can be very beneficial to him as far as his prospects at the next level go.

Didn't Gonzaga already add the transfer PG from Washington? That kid is pretty legit as well.

Nigel Williams-Goss + JW3 in a year will be dirty.

He's really not that good. A RS year is probably the best thing for him. He needs to get stronger and improve skill wise.

He's not. He gets pushed around by stronger bigs on both sides of the court. Hes a poor shooter, and he turns the ball over entirely too much.
To be fair, we were asking him to do too much. On a good team, he's a 4th or 5th scoring option and an adequate shot blocker/rebounder. Like I said though, if he takes advantage of it then a RS year could do him so good. He's a pretty athletic guy for his size.

Will be a tough little two year series for us starting this year.

The return game at Bridgestone in Nashville in 2016 is looking very tough.

I actually agree with that. Not a first/second option on a good team and Mizzou's complete lack of talent around him last year made him look a little better as well.

He shot under 40% from the field which is horrific for a PF. Not a good FT shooter either at 61%. He turned the ball over nearly 3 times a game. Terrible.
Like I said though, our team was so awful we were asking him to be something he's not. When your "best" player is this guy that's how you end up with the worst season in school history.
