Well, in case you have no clue that there is a huge difference in saying the "#2 rated player in Texas" and "#2 rated DT in Texas"....then of course obviously knowing he meant the former when the very next thing he said was "#1 rated player in TX" who actually is that...you probably couldn't make the connection there anyway because you simply cant comprehend things/

Really not a big deal. The number next to his name--whether properly identified by the OP--doesn't tell the story.

He and Golden are the two best DTs in the state. From a national standpoint, Manning's commitment gives A&M 4 of the top 20 DTs I the country and 2 in the top 10. No other school comes close.

But if you're hung up on the number, tune in next week. The state's number 1 players from '13 and '14 are each announcing for the Ags.

Dont worry, this is how aggies work, they are sleazy in their wording thinking they will get more credit somehow...

Meh, this guy doesnt impress me. He fits in a 3-4, not a 4-3...seems like a space eater and nothing more in college. Reminds me of Al Woods a bit.

Does any other school have 4 DT commits???

Hoza Scott isn't the #1 player in TX, it's either Paris or Brown

Shhhhh, obviously A&M only accepts the numbers/rankings and uses words that make them look the best. One would think they have some sort of board for this type of behavior.....

Maybe T (blank) X A (BLANK) S ?

Idk, just a wild guess.

Yes, that's obviously what was meant. It could no way have been in reference to the sentence preceding it.

This. Their facilities are as good or better than anyone not named Oregon. They literally are incredible. They're going to slaughter Texas on in-state recruiting. Sumlin is the truth.

They're going to win HUGE at A&M in the coming years.

Scott is the state's best player. It's an obvious call, notwithstanding some services. At best you can raise an argument that some are as good. But there just isn't a player better.

What's funny is that you're hung up on whether the Ags get the undisputed best player--arguing Brown and Paris hold that title (both of whom represent outliers with regard to their LSU preference). You should be worried that we've so quickly emerged as the choice for so many top 10 guys.

Discredit Scott how you must. The dude is an unequivocal baller.

aTm fans need to rub one out. "truly historic times.." Jesus Christ, act like you've been there (somewhere) before even if you haven't. Was it THAT bad living in TX's shadow? Is a 2 loss season that big of a fricking deal? Congrats if JFF wins the Heisman. I hope he doesn't.

This is a recruiting board. Not sure what business a Hog fan has here.

Im talking about Manning. Not Scott. I don't know a damn thing about Hoza Scott at this point, so you're right I guess.

Manning's a stud.

Like I said, the best DT in the state (Robinson will play OL).

That the OP incorrectly stated his numerical ranking takes nothing from how significant his commitment is.

Wow - split hairs shall we??

I am referring to Billy Liucci's rankings. Sorry for not adding link. There are obviously numerous different ranking sites.

How does one objectify this?? You can't.

Nonetheless - huge gets for us.

In fact Justin Manning is not ranked #2 on any other website besides "Billy Liucci's rankings". Maybe say

Manning=number 2 rated player in TX on Liucci's rankings 2013.

Only A&M fans care about Liucci's ratings, so keep his rankings on TexAgs and the A&M board.

The SEC recruiting board likes to use rankings everyone can identify with and considers credible. 95% of this board probably thinks that Rivals, ESPN, Scout, and 247 are all more credible than Liucci's rankings.

Being the #10 ranked guy vs. the #2 ranked guy is more than just "splitting hairs" when it comes to the team rankings (if we are judging those to be valid as well).

Point is, no one uses Liucci's rankings and there is a reason they don't, so no one cares outside of your people, so spare us your deceitful antics to weirdly try and make yourselves look better, its just another aggie joke fwiw.

Laughable... Accept the fact that we are going to be a force in the west despite all the BS the last two years on tigerdroppings... We might not win it all, but we are going to piss in a lot of team's cheerios.

Wtf are you talking about? I just think its dumb some one would purposely word your titles wrong to mislead people. Damn some of you aggies just prove how very little you know when it comes to the recruiting game.

"#2 player in Texas" DOES NOT equal "#2 DT in Texas". You're a moron if you don't know that, so I just assume the title is meant to purposely mislead people.
