I AM a UK fan.
Final fours do mean something to us. Sure we hope and expect a title but the reality is the odds are not in our favor any given season no matter how good we are. So final fours aren't worthless.

LOL, what? Final 4s mean a lot. It is another banner in Rupp (by the way, the only ones get put up)...the tourney is a crap shoot...it involves match ups and luck.

Sure they mean a lot, nobody is arguing that. It's different with kentucky than for a team like arkansas for instance. Final fours for kentucky fans means as much as playoff losses for Alabama football fans. They are great, but many see that as failure.

The Kentucky train just keeps rolling. After all the recruiting they have done they still have 1 title to show for it, and a 3-4 record against the lowly home state school in the last 7 meetings

They've played basketball for 100+ years, had 3 hall of fame coaches, and won more games than any other program yet have only won 8 titles in their entire history.
This just in: Single elimination tournaments are super shitty way to decide who the actual best team is. It is why basically no other sport/league uses it and the one's that do often have flukey results.
Hell the NBA didn't think 5 games was enough.
