That Bama bump sure as hell didn't hurt

Always an interesting talking point. The "'Bama bump". One would think it suggests those guys really aren't that talented and it would reflect on the field.

Recruiting isn't the issue.

I expect Coach O to take a head coaching job at the end of the season. LSU will lose some recruits as a result.

If laughing at the ignorance of thinking Harris and Allen are Bama locks/ not possibly going elsewhere is "salty" then so be it....

Highly Doubtful, but keep wishing and hoping by all means.

Not one Alabama fan ITT said any such thing.

I think Harris' recruitment could start to get interesting. If he wants early playing time, then Bama will likely be the choice. He'd play earlier here than at LSU since we're pretty thin at safety and LSU has loaded up at that position in this class. If Marvin Wilson commits to LSU then things could also get interesting with Shelvin. In the 3-4 at LSU, he'll be behind 3 guys who are more talented than him (IMO) in Wilson, Lawrence, and Alexander, all of whom are in either the '16 or '17 class. We're pretty thin at DT.

LSU may /may not get Wilson (I think they do) but either way it will have zero impact on Shelvin. Tyler is a local kid, loves LSU and is recruiting for LSU (especially Wilson) he and Marvin are very close friends.

You don't think Coach O wants to be a head coach again? I'm surprised he hasn't gotten one yet after that excellent job he did as the USC interim head coach.
Someone will hire him just on his recruiting ability. I would rank him as the second best recruiter in the country behind only Saban.

But to be serious:

Dylan Moses - LSU.

Buggs - He's never even been to Tuscaloosa. Auburn seems to like their chances with him.

Will Ignont - Doesn't have a commitable offer from Alabama. Staff took Markail Benton instead.

Marvin Wilson - Who knows? He could end up at Texas or Florida State as well.

Chris Allen - Toss up.

Todd Harris - Probably LSU.

D Smith - Alabama.

Pretty much nailed it

I wouldn't say it's laughable, but unlikely.

Jimmy Smith said that Harris might not have a commitable offer to Bama. Y'all hear anything on that? I don't see it being true considering y'all missed out on Stevens.

None of the players that commit to LSU had a committable Bama offer. Duh.

I'm actually seriously asking considering Jimmy said this. I don't see why they wouldn't press for Harris.

Because they can't get him.

Neil Farrell likely didn't. Justin Thomas probably did. His step father played at Alabama, afterall. Pruitt was said to really like his talent.

It is no different than what LSU does in Louisiana. You slow play some guys you probably really like, but they get impatient and go elsewhere. The states of Alabama and Louisiana have similar recruiting depth, but Louisiana has more higher rated kids at the top in most years. So there are more contested battles in Louisiana between UA and LSU. At least that's my interpretation of the perception fans of each school have on the recruiting battles between the two.

In the trenches it most certainly was, Chavis did shite recruiting for LB's as well. We are killing it in those three areas now. Our front seven will soon be just as nasty as Bama's has consistently been. And with Aranda now coaching them? Hell yeah.. Watch it all go down my friends....I can't fn wait

I think he does, but it has to be the right fit.

He said recently in an interview how much he enjoys being back in Louisiana with friends and family and the talent at his disposal. Stated he will only leave for the "right" D1 head coaching job. D1 head coach or bust, has no intrest in another secondary position coach or Defensive coordinator.

I believe O's son's are going to school at McNeese right? And one might be playing football. Anyway, he says he loves being home and this a good chance for him to get time with his family, esp his son's. I think in a few more years, and if LSU has some really good success....the right HC gig will come along for him.

Who is Jimmy Smith?

Does he have a source inside the Alabama complex?

Highly unlikely don't you think?
