According to 247 (even in their latest update having seen most Junior film), this guy is a 3* (#610 or so overall). I don't care if he's 6'1" or 6'5", 24 sacks, a ton of TFL, with elite explosiveness deserves to be MUCH higher ranked than this. DL film doesn't get much better than this. Committed to Bama, so I'm sure he'll get the bump eventually.

Alabama fan complaining about star rating. That's precious.

He is vastly underrated.

However, as long as he sticks with Alabama I don't care what his ranking is.

Kid's a fricking beast.

Who cares who he's committed to? Bama bump is fine with me. But what matters is that film. He's an absolute monster. Hopefully we can keep him with Kirby at Uga now.

The bust rate of Stephenson HS players isn't doing him any favors

Okay. We shouldn't say anything. We should just remain quiet and not comment in the recruiting board. Thanks for all that you bring to this board.

Martin is a terrific pass rushing specialist. Should be a 4*, IMO. I will say, though, that being so light makes it tough to project Martin. At 6'1"+ 270, Sterling looks elite to me. And unlike Martin, is very good against the run.

I would say that the fact the Sterling is already 270 at a listed 6'1" is a concern. You have to worry about how much weight his frame can hold.

Also, being a 3* doesn't mean he isn't or can't be a good player. Something like 2% of high school players are 3*s. It's nitpicking above that, and his size is clearly nitpick-able.

The fact that he plays on a recruited all star team and they played 8 nobodies might have had a little something to do with those stats.
