Considering my wife (no pics, frick all you) and her family are MS State alums I am not mad at all seeing State better themselves.

Good try though.

My step dad is a State alum and he and my mom have season tickets.

If Alabama had to lose Lewis to anyone I'm glad it's State. They are my second favorite SEC team.

I agree, and was talking to one of my OM friends about this tonight.

Sprinkle in a little "Mississippi crootin' is dirty as hell anyway!" And you nailed it.

I think I forgot the "looking forward to watching you get beat by Bama for the next 3-4 years".

Also, obligatory:

Hope you enjoy trips to Nashville or Birmingham when you could be playing for the National Championship Game.

I don't think there is anything else I missed, is there?

Is it that far of a reach to think he won't? I'm keeping my hopes right where they need to be, but why else would he decommit.

Yes. He stated he decommited because he needed more time. I don't think he commits anywhere else for awhile.

May give time for Bo Davis to build a relationship with him (Davis is our Mississippi guy now), but I doubt it.

Maybe the players know more then we do, saying Leo Lewis will be the next player to commit to the bulldogs

Normally a high profile recruits chances of re-committing to a program when previously committed longer than 4 months are pretty slim, things get awkward and uncomfortable supposedly.... not to say it never happens (xavier lewis did it recently) but the odds are that he won't go back.

Like I said, I doubt it. I think Alabama moves on to Caban.

No chance he ends up at OM...tell your friend I said it

Gonna be tough to pull him back from MSU

You'll know if Bama offers Caban (I hope they will), means they lost on Lewis and he is a Dawg lock

Good luck to the kid. Was shocked when he committed and not expecting fully for him to stay, great player and the pull in state has to be tremendous

That would be the case if the kid was at like say a small school in Va or Idaho

He's in Miss, 2 of his best friends and teammates committed or are already committed to State

He will likely be committed to State soon IMHO

We don't count on Missi$$ippi kids, there must be a reason we can get them from every other state in the Union but that one.

Interesting. Good luck to the kid. He'll be easily replaced.

Ah -- so we're better at paying kids than every other state including the rec? Awesome.
