I've got a source very close to the Curtis program.
Ucla is the leader for young at this point. Source says he just wants to get away from home for school. He also says LSU leads for Dupre.

A&M was never mentioned. Unless something just came together, AM wasn't even mentioned as a possibility for Young.

Any more news from Young on the LSU side?
Aggies are getting more and more hopeful. We really need this kid. He's going to be on campus this weekend
It looks like a flurry of 247 people recently got some information that looked good for UCLA.

I don't think anyone from LSU feels confident about Young and Dupree. Les is at John Curtis this morning to meet with both so who knows.

He's LSU. Davon Godchaux helping recruit him, which is why he's taking the trip with him. Dupre's going as well so hopefully we get both.

Well, neither of these kids started their recruiting process until December so the staff hasn't really had the chance to feel them out. I'm sure we'll know more in the next 2 weeks.

I never said Noil was LSU. As much as i'd have liked him to, I didn't get my hopes up. After seeing Manziel and mess with him, it would have been a shock to see him at LSU. I think we have a higher chance with Dupre than Young IMO. Young going elsewhere wouldn't hurt since we have Garret coming in, but it definitely would help.

Well, not really. Plenty of people say the writing on the wall with Speedy. The problem with Young is he hasn't been "in the game" so to speak for very long so it's harder to get a read on him.

Kenny Young wants to leave the state for college. That's the hard part for Les and co. to convince him to stay home. If a kid has already made up his mind that he wants to get away from home then I'm not sure its much u can do as a staff.
I think he is favoring UCLA at the moment but since he is just starting to take OV's then he can still end up anywhwere

Well if he is favoring leaving state, then UCLA is clear cut leader. But, Godchaux, Dupre and Young all taking the trip together could mean big things. I think there's a chance all three play together since they all have LSU/UCLA in the mix. Godchaux supposedly is taking the trip "only to recruit them and others", but i'm not sold on all 3 yet.

UCLA is definitely a major player for him. Mora will be at Curtis today to meet with him and Chi.

Revisionist history. It wasn't until the bitter end that LSU posters and "experts" started to admit that A&M might get him. The entire rest of the time, they went on and on about how a guy like Speedy just wouldn't leave the state, how he was trolling A&M, etc.
I don't know what Young is going to do, but I do know that we need him in the worst way. Him and McGraw both. We need them bad.

As do we. Our OLB is getting depleted by transfers. With Barrow and Jones graduating it's an open position at LSU.
