Good commit, glad to have him. Excited about our current recruiting momentum.

What is this brother talk?

But yes, Bert needs to step up this year so recruits will see he is for real. Sadly our schedule doesn't do him any favors.

That stings a bit IMO considering he was said to be a lock for the last year. However, Pittman has done a nice job at recruiting...He'll get back in his ear or he'll get on somebody else.

If this was a 4* WR, I would be really upset. That's what we are lacking right now.

Yeah if this was a 4* WR or S that had ties to Arkansas that went elsewhere today then I probably would have knocked stuff off my desk at work, cussed a small storm and smacked an Aggie if I was around one.

However, while I'm not going to say that it doesn't suck to lose him because it does for pure perception alone, its still the one group on the entire team that I am not at all worried about in the slightest. Pittman is a beast and will keep us at the top of the SEC in regards to OL production while he is here whether we land Sutherland or not.

I haven't liked him since that movie "Eye for an Eye"........but Sally Fields was fantastic.

Nice pickup he's got a lot of potential. Was a damn near lock for us a year ago.

I would say I'm not surprised since we haven't heard much about him from our recruiting writers but Arky sports media sucks infinitely more than our football program.

If I had to look at anything the path to early playing time Luke be easier at A&M at the moment. We've brought in some highly regarded OL recruits but we're losing a lot of depth after this season.

I'm just gonna assume you haven't noticed who the Aggies have brought in.

That's what I was looking for. A REAL piggy to come out of its blanket.

Sweet tears bro!

He's going to need them with those slow feet. He has a high motor though.

I didn't think Sutherland was a Jewish name, maybe Muslim?

He's a 4.9 guy, which is pretty dang quick for OL.

We haven't done well with players that have a connection here for whatever reason. Saw this somewhere else:

5* DE Soloman Thomas- sister attends Arkansas

4* RB Kevin Shorter- cousin is CB DJ Dean who is
"like a brother" to shorter

3* CB Raymond Wingo- brother of former RB Ronnie Wingo

4* S Payton Hendrix- cousin Keaton Miles is on basketball team

4* DE Demetrious Jackson- cousin to OL Denver Kirkland

4* TE DeAndre Goolsby- WR coach Michael Smith has literally known him since birth and used to babysit him

5* WR Malachi Dupree- WR coach Michael Smith is his 2nd cousin

4* DT Josh Frazier- lives 15 minutes from campus and his mom is/was? a huge Arkansas fan

Shorter was kind of a special situation since he got hurt and wasn't going to be playing football. He was probably looking at it from a "where do I want to attend school" perspective rather than a football perspective. I'm guessing proximity to home and academics were his main concern

Pretty sure Goolsby was 100% last year before he committed to Florida

Not to be a spoil-sport or anything, but were we even recruiting this guy? Serious question. I thought we were only on Akamnonu and the guard from Louisiana at this point, or at least that's what I've read lately.
