Plus I'm not too worried about UTk competing with us for Trent Thompson, Donte Jackson, Rashad Roundtree, and Josh Sweat amongst others.

Props to Butch Jones and Tennessee football for proving to be a recruiting force despite going 5-7 three years in a row for the first time in our programs history.

Yeah and no top 5 recruiting class since 2007 and still outside of top 5 for 2015. Yep a real recruiting prowess if you asked me.

Ummmm, last years class was top 5 in 3 out of the 4 services. I wouldn't trade last years class with anyone. Great combination of quality and quantity

I'd trade it for the four SEC classes that were better overall, but to each his own.

The only teams you could argue were better was bama and lsu and and they took 26 and 23 commits respectively. UT took 31 with more 4 star players than anyone and 2 five stars. Again, with UTs situation I wouldn't trade it with anyone due to quantity and quality.

I'm going by the Composite. That's pretty much the way to go here.

1. Bama 2. LSU 3. TAMU 4. AU 5. UT....

The quantity does go a little way toward having a cushion against washouts and the like, but it's not like 26 or 25 isn't a fair quantity too. Look, UT's class is excellent, especially given their recent history. Butch deserves all the praise in the world (conditionally, since he has to prove his worth on the field.) But the premise of this thread (as even several UT fans, including you, have said) is premature and probably a bit excessive over and above the prematurity. If your class had ranked 1 or 2 in the Composite (again, the best one to use), I could see it. But you ranked 5th in the SEC even with 6 more recruits than the next largest class, so bragging is just begging for some trolling responses.

ETA: I should clarify that I meant next largest in top 5. UK and Mizzou hauled in sizable classes too, but they're toward the bottom.

You have exactly one CB prediction dude. We have more but not exactly a whole lot more.

Right now VA Tech is the favorite.

But as for me being a homer, it's pretty much even money between Tennessee and UGA getting him. If VaTech and FSU are out of the picture.

I like our chances with Kahlil McKenzie in his ear. "I'll take the double teams, you knock the piss out of the QB."

aTm and au finished behind us in all but one services rankings. aTm only took 21. Again, there's no way I would trade our class. The combination of quality and quantity are unmatched by any other team

I'll take his high school coach telling us he'll probably be in red and black. But here I wasn't responding to you. I was talking to Bri.

So you'd rather have 1 extra 4 star, 11 extra 3 starts but 6 less, count them, 6 less 5 star players.

bama would be the only team with a chance, but I'd still take our 16 four stars and 2 five stars with the total of 31. 7 of the three stars are one tenth of a point from being 4 stars. Quality top to bottom. I just think for UTs needs and lack of depth it was a perfect class

Hmm, I think you're overvaluing 3 stars and way undervaluing 5 stars.

Seems to me that all the big time guys that Butch is getting are legacy guys.

Neither Malone or Hurd, our five stars from last year, were legacies.
