That was from James Smith at Times-Picayune so I'm assuming he made some calls and found out even though he didn't say in the article

You can't be that stupid. If he signed with Alabama he would have been enrolled for 10 days by that meet. He would obviously be able to participate in that scenario.

If not for the all star game he could enroll at LSU wednesday. The dates given were first class dates not enrollment dates smart guy.
He can enroll as of Jan 1 since he is going to be running track so again those dates mean nothing.

I don't think that he was trying to argue that the date of the meet somehow means that he is commiting to LSU. Rather, he was pointing out that it means nothing, as Tony could enroll in either school early and still make that meet for either program.

Nah I hear ya, I asked the same question on the LSUrb because the dates didn't make sense to me
I'm pretty sure Smith is trollin' for hits because the info in that article doesn't really make sense. This week is National Signing Day-level hype and speculation for LSU so troll pieces would make sense

Also Smith jus stated in his chat that LSU's orientation is on 8th. Which could be what Brown was referring too. If I'm not mistaken don't most EE get enrolled in classes at the orientation?? Correct me if I'm wrong??
