Don't you realize gloating here is reserved for a certain team?

Interesting turn of events for LSU recruiting....
He's the first defensive coordinator to give up 70 points in a bowl game.

Congrats on hiring our linebackers coach.

Well Auburn coulda hung 80 on us this year if Gus didn't call off the dogs. Does that mean Chavis sucks?

I think we can all assume he meant as a DC. You guys were far from world beaters in depth and talent level in 07. The Saban effect didn't really kick in until 08.

Steele has never had this kind of talent as a DC or a HC. Lets see how thinngs play out. He has a 2 year contract, I like what I see and hear so far.

Yep..how many off that Clemson squad made it to the NFL?

Now tell me how many off of our D this year will end up drafted...6 or 7 at least.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he NEVER he close to this type talent to execute his schemes.

Do you how good it makes a DC look when he has tall speedy corners and safeties than can cover a wr?

Add an all SEC mlb and he can do quite a few tricks up front.

I predict LSU's defense will be right there with the best Ds in the nation, definitely the sEC.

Don't think anyone can say for sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at MSU, OM, or LSU. I'd guess a Mississippi school until history says otherwise

Yea, Leo Lewis is taking everyone for a ride and it's not very fun.

Smart money is on Mississippi State.

Right now, all you can really go off is recruiting. Coaching will reveal itself as the season goes on.

I would think that LSU fans should be thrilled with the hires up to this point. I also think the coaching will be a pleasant surprise.

Steele is not a horrid DC....had two top 15 D's at Clemson and we have muuuuuch better talent on D than them. It will be very hard for him to screw it up with the talent we have.

Surely not a negatiger, but everyone else he will face now has muuuuuuch better talent on O.

Steele has been an unmitigated disaster as a head coach and defensive coordinator.... In other words, anytime he's has to make actual decisions about scheme/play-calling/game-planning/etc. he's failed.

But he'll win in feb, no doubt.

Yeah....I'm sure that's why Saban kept going back to him....b/c he sucks at any coaching decisions he has ever made
