According to Rivals
2014-14
2013-7
2012-40 Hugh Freeze had 1.5 months to recruit including the dead period.
2011-19- after a 4-8 season
2010-18
2009-18
2008-29
2007-27
2006-15
2005-30

So Ole Miss is doing the same thing its been doing for the past 10 years. The only difference is this staff is winning with one or two guys from outside the state of MS.

What was Spurrier doing with Florida? Prior to his arrival Florida was trash. What was USCe doing prior to the arrival of Holtz and Spurrier? That program was trash until they got there. New programs come along. Maybe Freeze is just the guy to bring the Ole Miss program up.

This is what happens when you move threads from that other place to here. Just delete.

It's called, not being a pussy.

Football is big business and we decided we are taking and battling for what we want and need to succeed instead of lucking into success once a century.

frick you and your self righteous arse.

How many times do we have this thread a week? Quit your bitching, pussies. Last year it was all luck, perfect storm, etc. Now it's cheating. Shut the frick up

Damn. This isn't rocket science. Freeze is selling early playing time and being part of "building something." The same thing that any other relatively new coach sells. It works as long as you keep improving, and can transition away from relying on early playing time as you build more of a talent base. If you have some down years early, it can all fall apart. As long as you keep up the improving, you have a chance to keep climbing the ladder.

It's working for UT, Ole Miss, and A&M right now. Hell, UK too. It's the same thing Saban did when he got to LSU. I would guess Spurrier did at UF when he first got there, as well. Not every coach is successful at selling the line, but the ones that are aren't doing anything that hasn't been done 10,000,000,000 times before.

OM is ranked 13, 14, and 14. 0 5 stars. Plus they're class size is BIG. If you look at average star rating then they're maybe top 20.

True, but I think most people still focus on last year's class. I understand why it happened, but it was definitely an outlier and got people's attention.

Ole Miss had 3 freshmen All-Americans this year and would have been a 4th without injury. Those guys were part of a top ten class that was a result of hard recruiting and luck. Once they got to campus, most of them were instant starters. They got a bunch of deserved hype every time they were on ESPN. Other kids see this and they want to be in those shoes, with instant fame and playing time instead of redshirting. These kids also love Hugh Freeze and would walk on water for him. A visit to Oxford and the Grove is on everyone's bucket list, along with a night game in Baton Rouge, even though BR is a shithole. Some of you phuckers just need to think about shite that is so black and white before crying foul. LSU is loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits every year, yet they struggle to beat Ole Miss. Your high school resume doesn't win games with talent alone, you have to have heart and desire to win. This fall will be no different when the Rebels show up in BR, so get ready for it. Patrick Willis was a 2 star recruit by the way.
