Not just LSU fans are predicting this. Recruiting changes daily but as of right now, it is a very good possibility.

Did LSU really recruit this guy hard?

Clearly not.

I just find it hilarious how some LSU fans assume they are getting every 5-star remaining on their board.

which of the remaining five stars would you suggest that LSU is not favored for? Fournette? Willis? Noil? Dupre? Brown? Adams? Im still a little concerned about Adams. I think Willis coming to LSU will help with Speedy. There is legit reasoning to believe that LSU will finish with all of these guys though.

Not sure how often you get out of Baton Rouge, but I live in Covington and outside of Baton Rouge it is probably the most hardcore LSU area of the state. The Tammany Tigers probably raise more money than most, if not all of your alumni groups. This kid will get all kinds of crap locally for going anywhere other than LSU.

I'm sure he actually wasn't a take for LSU anyway......just wait for it

this - everyone with a committable LSU offer is a LSU lock.

And if they aren't an LSU lock.......well..........they don't have a committable offer

Nice comments but your should check your own board before making blanket statements about the LSU fanbase response

The majority of the LSU fans in this thread and on the LSU Rec Board have been wishing him good luck. We're disappointed to see him go but it's as if Ole Miss getting the commitment isn't enough. You also want to see the LSU fans melt, that clearly isn't the case right now.

Nice pick up, I hope there's a chance we can flip him before signing day.

He did have a offer but as a fullback. 6'1 250 defensive tackle? Good player and pickup though

These are also in that thread and far outweigh the responses you posted...just a sampling...

quote:

Good for him

quote:

Assumed he would at some point.

Congratulations to him

quote:

A small wish of good luck to you Garrald. You're one of my fav HS players this year. But you just committed to a conference and divisional rival of LSU not to mention a traditional rival so I can't root for you THAT much.

Nevertheless, go do your thing big man... just not against LSU.

quote:

Congrats to the kid.

quote:

congratulations to him

I hope he has a great college career and makes it to the NFL. I also hope he doesn't win a game in college.

quote:

Not surprising. Good luck to the young man

quote:

Isn't eh one of the best linemen in the state?

quote:

i think Ole Miss really wanted the kid and recuited him hard.

Stop being a douche bag.

Congrats on the pickup.

LSU didn't even do an in home visit with the kid. When you possibly are getting brown, Willis, Adams, Noil, Fournette, Dupre, Young, Jones, Carter, Jackson you need room and cant take a fullback. That's 7 five stars and 2 4 stars if you cant count.

What in the world are you talking about? The whole Northshore is full of LSU fans everywhere - Mandeville/Covington included.

Jeez.
