I doubt LF is scared of a few 4 star RBs.

You're right man I didn't know and he wasn't expecting to visit until Crutch offered to drive them

I meant about Cam and Willis visiting, they are a go as of right now for Jr Day visitors

I would be shocked if he did commit over the Summer tbh since he is such a high profile guy (like Marlon Humphrey, everyone pretty much sees him as a Bama lock, but he won't commit till the UA game I think if his plans stay in tact)

Regardless still think LF is gonna take OVs etc after the Summer which I don't consider a kid to be fully committed unless you shut it down like Bessent who just committed to Bama did.

I will also say this, it seems like a PRIORITY this year more than I have ever seen by Saban and staff to really preach being committed and waiting till you are absolutely sure. I think that is the reason we only have 2 commits I guess Saban is tired of all the played out drama

So if LF commits to LSU during the summer, I take it Saban is gonna move on? That's nice to hear.

I said that we should anyway but staff feels like Bama still have a shot I guess, I think this will be a banner yr for CBs and not that many great HBs (last year was that's why I think Bama signed 4). I say sign 2 and be done with that position

He won't commit publicly, but I'm sure he'll let his future coaches know his intentions.

On Roberts, do you see him actually being allowed to commit to Bama at this time? As we've discussed, he's a different style of CB than Saban normally goes after and he doesn't seem to be on the same level as some of the other targets. How many CBs yall taking this year?

Not sure if he can commit yet, but Bessent was able too and he is a much different taller athlete type (played WR and CB) but I watched JR's film and I'm sold on him I REALLY liked what I saw, he reminded me a ton of Greg Reid (played at FSU, would've flourished in a better system for him) or a little bit like Javy Arenas. I have seen the comparisons to HB7 (because of PR/KR ability and same HS) but he is a better quick twitch athlete with better hips. He is short this is true, but I think he will be a hell of a CB for whoever he signs with. I wouldn't be surprised if he is allowed to commit based off what I saw on film.

I think Bama takes 4 true CBs at the very least (already have 1 & Marlon will be 1 so 2 or 3 more)

Will Saban go back to the JUCO well for a CB since the need for numbers is there? Or is just a numbers need and not an instant impact need?

On Roberts, I also don't think the Mathieu comparison is an apt one, but more to do with that Matieu actually was 5'10", which is a bit taller than Roberts. Mathieu also had disproportionately long arms for his height, which is something Roberts doesn't have but is something every DB coach and basketball coach in the country covets. Height can be deceptive, reach is as important.

I don't think he goes JuCo, we might sign one if John Cook has to go that route because of grades but I think signing that many has much more to do with the talent of this years crop, we are talking about a generational type DB in 2 different states this year and TONS of ridiculous talent all over the country for the position. It will be an instant impact need if no one steps up this yr however, but a few guys like Geno and Fulton played pretty well in backup.

I agree but what I saw from Roberts on film is the same thing I saw from Cook (who I was EXTREMELY high on the whole process, ask any Bama fan they got tired of my wailings for months when Bama didn't offer Cook, then my exuberance when he committed lol) and it is his intangibles and fball IQ which is vastly underrated as a prospect.

LSU fans will take your membership card away for posting anything negative toward LF's recruitment. Way to much pride riding on where this kid plays football. It's that catastrophe syndrome LSU is overrun with.

Coming from a Bama fan, this is fricking hilarious

It's true. Go back and look at all the denial with Landon Collins recruitment.

LANDON COLLINS

Saban nailed it when he said LSU fans had the Catastrophe Syndrome.

Catastrophe Syndrome has no cure.

Catastrophe Syndrome.

So, what you're saying is that LSU fans do this but not Bama fans?

Saban is winning, so all is good in T-Town. We've all seen how it is when that's NOT the case. Saban saved Bama from another decade of shitty football.

Be thankful
