Cowart is majoring in the NFL.
Yeah, bro. No kid actually gives a shite about their education.
quote:

"My big thing is being able to start my major as soon as I get on campus. I feel strong about that," Cowart said. "Schools will tell you that you can't start your major until your sophomore or junior year and if I keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing on the field, I'll be gone to the NFL. I'm not going into the draft without my degree. I don't want to waste time. I had to make sure they had a three-year plan and they did. They care about what I have to say, that means a lot."
Obviously he just made all this shite up.

Florida is home, and he has plenty of family in the Jacksonville area. He has been countless times to Gainesville. Florida's journalism school is better and more prestigious than Auburn. So what was your point again?

This will come down to signing day. And I don't have a crystal ball, but all in all this is a good kid who is thinking about his choices seriously. I just don't see the kid putting all his eggs in the chump basket when he was selling him UF for years, and was fired for incompetence. Now UF sucks according to chump? lol If he has learned anything from this process is that coaches MOVE at the drop of a hat (see chimp and Lawing). He will commit to a school he feels comfortable at and likes. He will listen to his mother as well.

There is always the Aubrin $$$$, and the possibility of mom's relocation program. We will see, anything can happen.

Five-star Byron Cowart

I'm kind of expecting him to go to AU at this point. Seems like his AU vibe is stronger than his UF vibe. He'd have similar opportunities to play at both places, but he just seems to want AU more. Would be a great get.

Someone who gets fired for incompetence and then starts negative recruiting against his old school deserves any insulting word he gets. He is asking for it. Had he recruited without going full retard, jilted girlfriend he would get my respect. He has not earned it.
I take back the Aubrin if that makes you happy.

It is a well known fact that he is vigorously negative recruiting about UF. These kids visited many many times Florida hearing the complete opposite from his mouth. Why would you trust someone who says something one day and then goes 180 just to get you? Why would you commit to coaches when you know they move/get fired without any regard to their players?

The twitter comments they have been making are very ambiguous. I think these kids know where they are going and are just trolling and enjoying the attention. Not so much Cowart, but Holland is an attention hog. They have been visiting together, and talking about committing together. I just have a feeling they are trolling someone. Could be us, could be Auburn. We will see.

Don't believe everything you read.

WM was talking about the facilities at AU being better than UF. Quite frankly, they were. Doing his job is different than "negative recruiting". Is it "negative recruiting" if what he was saying is truth?

WM never had the leverage at UF to get what he wanted. He was a "yes man" to Foley. McElwain has already put a stamp on the UF football program because he has leverage. UF was going to build a 70 yd mini IPF, and McElwain told them "go on and build it, I will never use it", so now you see a 120yd IPF approved and will be up for Fall camp. Also, UF has approved renovations to all student athlete dorms and will also be updating the locker room. All of these things are requests from McElwain that are happening.

WM wasn't "negative recruiting" UF, he was telling the truth in regards to the facilities. Facilities he never had a say so in having improved. UF is in better hands now, someone that knows how to use his power to his advantage. Hard to fault WM for probably being upset about the plans, and using it against UF. Now, the negative facilities talk surrounding UF will die down.

Not really, he was negative recruiting for sure. It was not just the IPF, there were other things. Multiple sources who are close to the recruits are reporting this. Would you want the school who fired you for incompetence all of the sudden become competent?
I think not.

I just wanted to say I accidentally down voted this when I meant to hit upvote.

Glad to see Florida facilities getting an update. Muschamp just never worked out at Florida, and I think both parties will be better off having parted ways.

Truth. Boom isn't HC material. He is too clueless and uninterested in offense.

I love how you type all that drivel then slyly try to say the only was Auburn gets him is if they pay him or his mom.

Sour grapes. It looks like you are already convinced Auburn gets him.

Damn, if only I was as connected to the program as the website moderators. Lol

He was comparing all of the football facilities to AU, nothing more nothing less.

With Cowart leaving his UF visit, how do Gator fans feel about their chances now?

He lives in Texas so he has unprecedented access to the UF program. Don't question his internet authority or else he will start intentionally misspelling your name.

Still as up in the air as ever. He supposedly told the coaches before he came up that he would have to leave early, it's not as if he hasn't been to campus many times.

Its an official visit. If he had really wanted to stay he could have had Florida arrange for his transportation back home. Only reason for him to leave early was him not really wanting to be there

Why would he even go if he wasn't going to get there until midnight Friday and leave at noon Saturday?

At this point, it's about making relationships with the new coaches and making an impression. And this is a big missed opportunity.
