I think I'm going to bump this so more people can see the greatness that is Texas High School Football!

Congrats, Texas, for taking high school football and cheerleading to such an absurd level that people are willing to kill over it.

RG3 was BORN in New Orleans. Spent a portion of his childhood in Louisiana before parents went to Texas with both of them being in the Military.

well the op didn't specify first round picks that played high school football, the question in the op is first round picks FROM YOUR STATE. Heck if that's the case then where will the kids that left after Katrina be placed on this list? i.e. If Ed Paris becomes a first round pick, he should be listed under Texas or Louisiana??????

Don't forget the stadiums that are better than many FCS schools play in.

A military brat, Griffin was BORN on Okinawa, Japan, where his parents, Robert Jr. and Jacqueline, both U.S. Army sergeants, were stationed. The family later lived at Fort Lewis near Tacoma, Washington, and then moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. They finally settled in Copperas Cove, Texas, in 1997

Looks like Alabama and Tennessee are the leaders in the 1st rounders per capita race over the last 5 years.
