Sadly, this is too true. We could end up with the #1 class, and some LSU fans will still be crying themselves to sleep at night or cursing the coaching staff because we didn't sign Shea.

Yea I don't really care. It's not realistic to get two QB's of this caliber in one class. I can't see a discernible difference between them so I'll just be happy with Franks. The only thing I'm mad about is LA produces a 5* QB the same year LSU already has one committed. I wish they could be two years apart so we could get both

Hell so can ours. I remember when we thought we had Winston in the bag but CNS lost him while trying to get Kiel. Then we lost both. Realistically Winston was prob always going to FSU with his father having some interest there. Who knows if Winston would have had the same legal troubles here, but now i am very hapy he never represented the program. Kiel doesnt seem to have had the chest to stick it out either.

This thread was bumped and quite a bit has changed at LSU since 12/23 when I made that post. I feel a lot differently about LSU's recruiting since the hires made after that date. Apparently Les wanted to emphasize recruiting success as well.

Honestly Franks is the man to have, he's already committed and loves LSU/Cam. Shea is a pre-Madonna, if his decision really comes down to where his brother is working then I don't want him

I wish Shea Patterson all the best, but just keep something in mind, not all 5* players are slam dunks. Shea may very well go out and set the world on fire, but he may bust as well. It's discouraging to see our fan base like this when we have a damnnnn good quarterback already committed and we're hot on the trail of another one in haskins.

Franks is an excellent QB and athlete. I'm glad we have Franks and his early commitment to LSU means he wants to be an LSU Tiger. He shows he isn't afraid of competition and willing to work to be the starting QB. Better yet, he is going to REP the Tigers in two major sports..

Anybody Ole Miss, Miss State and LSU go after end up being JUCOs for some reason. It would be funny if we spent the next year fighting over Patterson and he wouldn't have the grades.
