They're competing to be in the Elite 11. I don't see a problem with the name.

Can someone tell me more about Jerrod Heard. Does he really have an offer from LSU?

What's the deal with Texas recruiting all these dual threat guys? Please don't tell me they are so delusional they are aimlessly looking for the next Vince Young.

With Mack Brown saying he wants an "SEC-like" power running game one year, then the next year saying he wants to go hurry-up and pass the ball more, I don't know if even UTx has a good idea of what they're doing.

But w/ Heard, this is the second straight year they are taking a tall dual-threat QB who's shown greater ability running the ball than throwing it. Tyrone Swoopes was the guy they took last year.

Honestly, w/ the way their offense has worked (or not worked) recently, I think it's not a bad idea to recruit QBs who can get yards on their own when passing plays break down.

Well, they did sign Tyrone Swoopes last year, a guy who throws even worse than Vince Young.

Honestly though, Heard is a good QB is likely to be the best QB they have on campus next year.

That's the impression I'm getting. I think it may be time to lay Old Mack down.

Yep you are exactly right.

I can understand that but I still think it's more important to throw the ball better.

Fact. Was not impressed with him at all. Thought he was one of the worst 4 stars at QB.

Apparently Auburn has targeted Sean White.

Hopefully it's him or Watson. I'm not high on Harris.

The only thing White has over Harris is accuracy, and Harris' really isn't bad. Harris is bigger, more mobile, has a stronger arm, and will help us more with recruiting.

No knock on White, I think he's solid and I hope we get him if Harris goes to LSU, but Harris is elite while White is just solid

I don't have much hope for Watson right now. I think I'm liking White better than Harris right now. White is deadly accurate from the film I've seen. Not as mobile as Harris but he's mobile enough to keep plays alive.

@joshnewberg247: Trent Dilfer said David Cornwell had the biggest turn around from the previous days. #Alabama commit
@joshnewberg247: Per Trent Dilfer, today's top QB's (no order): Sean White, David Blough, Jacob Park, Kyle Allen, Luke Rubenzer, Drew Barker, David Cornwell

It took longer than expected, but the REC finally got to Dilfer

Making the Elite 11 may not be a blessing but not may be. The last 4 QBs from UA that may the Elite 11, 3 of them have been processed. Ely, Sims, and Star. Only AJ has come out of it and actually been productive.

Lets not forget another great Elite 11 finalist in Z Pike.

I don't see a problem with what it's called and that 18 kids have showed up to earn a spot on the final Elite 11 list. Making too much of it really.

It's just more confusing than the way it was done in the past. Now, when someone mentions a QB being in the Elite 11 no one knows if they mean the Elite 11 finals or the final Elite 11. Used to mean the same thing.
