If this kid is smart enough, I wouldn't listen to Tennessee.

A DT going to a 3-4 is a career ending decision.

Given how Pruitt likes more slimmed down, quicker DLs I think he'll be alright. He's not coming in to be the space-eater he would've been in Grantham's system.
ETA: But that's not to mention that John Jenkins played a space eating DT in Grantham's 3-4 and still managed to be drafted by the Saints in the 3rd round.

Marcel Dareus and Haloti Ngata agree

Maybe for an average DT that can't handle a double team at all, but Trenton is not that. He can play any position on a 3, 4, or 5 man line.

Yeah. Not like any NFL teams run the 3-4 or anything

And most draft 4-3 DT or DE tO fill their slots

That's because most college teams run a 4 man front.
This is just something you're saying because you're a homer and your team plays a 4-3.

They were talking about GT landing him in Chuck and Chernoff yesterday. I think he went for a visit or something and they were talking about the huge upset it would be if Tech were able to land a big time recruit, of any kind.

Honestly, I can see any off those teams except Tennessee landing him. I think its Georgia 50% and everyone else combine 50%. I do like the fact the his hometown isn't that far from Tallahassee.
UT likely will not land Thompson, but this statement is stupid.

How so?

Because georgia's chance of landing him is much higher than 50%

Trent is just making the rounds for the benefit of his coach and his HS teammates. He knows where he's going and so does Momma.

Durden did you see the second Instagram post I posted in the UGA recruiting thread? It's a good one

Yeah I saw. Do you think he's trying to suggest something?

That combined with him returning with his mom after a visit 2 days ago would seem to lead to a certain outcome.
At the very least, he's trying to rile up the masses, and it's working. He knows exactly what he's doing with a post like that

I've never had a doubt. The area of Georgia he is from is about as pro UGA as it gets. Even if his coach is a dipshit I have no doubt at least a strong percentage of his inner circle would have a heavy dose of Georgia in them.
