Glad he is announcing at the game cause if we lose out to the Tigers we can focus our attention on Craig-Meyers and AJ Brown the rest of the way til NSD... I fully expect him to be photographed wearing Ole Miss gear in the next 24 hours in order to build more drama... His mom is a Baton Rouge native and that's a lot for us to overcome.

It's not Ole Miss.
Congrats to LSU. I saw him play one game and many of his other highlights. He's definitely an athletic freak. A little raw. Also really good in the return game even though he's about 6'4.

Be very surprised if he signs with Ole Miss. I was blasted for this before but I think Ole Miss is planning on using the last WR slot for AJ or Nate Craig and the OM coaches have cooled on Davis.

If they only want 1 more WR I would take both over Davis. While Davis is an athletic freak he is completely unpolished (catches with body, poor route running) and there are other question marks regarding him too (quit football for soccer not but a year ago, dedication?). Has been around to several different schools recently. Also keep in mind he barely got to play at IMG with all the talent there.
That being said he has tremendous BOOM potential if it clicks for him in college. 6'4 215 pounders with top end speed to not grow on trees.

If he picks LSU it's because Miles did a great job convincing the kid, we did not cool on him at all. As much as I would love to have NCM or AJ Brown, Drake Davis is an athletic freak and has the most potential. Plus, we are not getting NCM or AJ. Our coaches have been recruiting him hard it's just whether or not he wants to stay in Louisiana. Should be interesting either way, LSU already has a great receiving class and Davis and Metcalf would give Ole Miss a great one so hopefully he chooses Ole Miss.
