You could make a case for Pruitt being a better all around defensive coach but Raymond is no slouch as a DB coach.
I do believe that, though I meant to only put one > sign. I'm not implying that Raymond is a slouch or bad coach though, just not as good as the guy who IMO is the best DB coach in the country. Raymond is still a very, very good coach, I'm not saying otherwise.
Donte seems to have loved his trip and there is always a sliver of doubt in recruiting, but I'm pretty sure he'll stay home. I don't think that is the best call he could make, but it's what I'm sure he will do. He has handled his recruitment with class, he gave us a legitimate shot, and I'm not going to hate on him for picking LSU when he does. Good luck to him, I hope he has a great career.

Don't see how UGA fans can annoint Pruitt as the best DB coavh in the country at thus time. He's had 1 year of great DB play in his career. The Bama group was good but far from excellent. Only the 13 FSU group was excellent and he deserves credit for that but o be fair there were about 3 1st rounders in that group. UGAs secondary this year was far from top notch. FSUs was still very good without Pruitt. Was does that tell you?
As for Jackson, any LSU fan that thinks he's a lock is kidding them self. Its very close and could go either way. I believe LSU gets him but easily could not

That's just my opinion, no "anointing" going on.
This year UGA was starting walkons and low 3-stars. Only 4 guys that saw significant time in the secondary were 4-stars (Damian Swann, True Fr. Malkolm Parrish, Corey Moore), and only two others on the depth chart at all were 4-stars. In other words, we have shite for talent in the secondary, but Pruitt still got them to produce the #5 passing defense and #7 pass. eff. defense nationally. That is seriously overachieving considering the dearth of talent back there.
That FSU defense you claim was still very good? 60th ranked passing defense down from #1 and the 66th ranked pass eff. defense, down from #2 last year. That tells me that Pruitt meant a hell of a lot to that defense, losing Lamarcus Joyner does not account for a 60 spot plummet alone.

I'd say Pruitt is a pretty good coach... Oh yeah...about that awesome FSU passing defense you mentioned, uh...they dropped from #1 to #60...

I'm not predicting Jackson will come to UGA but I'm enjoying the irony of an LSU fan calling UGA "rednecks".

This has nothing to do with Donte Jackson...
But the incoming gpa and sat for students is higher at UGA then either GT or Emory.
Emory is a medical school, GT is a tech school, UGA is an everything-else school (although brand new medicine and engineering schools have just formed within UGA). Comparing them isn't appropriate. They exist for different reasons.
