Could he commit to Bama right now if he wanted to? I know UF has a couple others higher than him on the board, and we are only taking 1 more, so I know UF would not take him at this point.

Top 50 player. You don't turn that type of talent down even if you have someone slightly higher on your board - well unless you're stupid I suppose.. or about to land four 5 star linebackers.

You are proving my point.

Just because he is a top 50 player by recruiting services, does not mean he is a take on the coaches board. Coaches do not use the same criteria as these recruiting services.

Actually I'm not. Dillon Bates is an elite talent and only a fool would turn down his commitment.
